Stick all the royal pish on BBC 1, all the non royal pish on BBC 2 and allow the regional channels to carry on as normal. Doesn't seem that hard to do.

Not forgetting the pish football on BBC Scotland

:laugh2: I turned it off about 1.30. The music and that woman's voice was beginning to annoy me. It's like they're all trying to out-mourn each other.

At least it's not as bad as when her Holiness Saint Diana kicked the bucket.

There's a dedicated 24hr news channel for reporting on the death of Phil.

Masterchef final moved too.

Is there any logical reason, to have the same coverage simultaneously on BBC1 & 2?

It’ll also be on the news channel as well.

North Korea could learn from this.

C4 documentary - Seems to have been a bit of a guy in London after they were married - at The Thursday Club men’s weekly drinking club then on to cough cough other parties after

the queen mother referred to him as “the hun” even to his face

Couldn’t care less about some old bigot from a family of extreme privilege is dead.

I’d wish that they’d all disappear (for note - I haven’t said I wish death upon any of them).

An unelected family born or married into power and wealth (dictatorship is the actual term I believe), who cares if one of them dies age 99?

A centuries old tradition which has no

place in this modern world. Dodgy weirdos too - weren’t the him and his wife related?

I'm not much of a fan of royalty, especially in the modern times. At 99, he certainly saw it all and was quite the character.

That said, I am already fed up of the media reaction and the frequent MAJOR NEWS being thrown down our throats. This will go on for weeks - Royal Family propaganda. Thankfully the golf is uninterrupted by this, as heartless as it may be to say it, life must go on.

That was indeed the alternative in these times.

Agreed there is a difference between showing the same respect that any deceased would receive, rich or poor and gushing servitude to people who see themselves as our 'betters'.

ITV this morning breaking in to programme, with a stone faced female dressed in black pretending to be close to tears.

Way over the top for someone she doesn't even know.

Its so pathetic and way over the top.  An embarrassment of a country.

Well its one less person on the scronger list sorry the " Civil list".  Once she is offski then it needs finished off. The reporting today only confirms what an elitist society we live in with arsehole duchesses dukes etc talking about him etc. All a bunch of scrongers.

It's hardly a dictatorship as they have no control over laws or the people. More like a tourist attraction
