I'm very happy with this signing. Really think he can do a job albeit there's a tiny nagging bit in the back of my mind thinking he's just going to be another Danny Swanson.

At the end of the day, on paper, it's a massive upgrade on what we have right now and if you had offered me him at the start of the season, I'd have bit your hand off.

Likes a goal against Hibs so that will do for me 😂😂

Folk on twitter moaning about the two and a half years 🤦‍♂️

The social media bit of Football Manager is bang on. You could sign Ronaldo on a three year deal and someone would have a problem with it, guaranteed.

It's likely down to the disappointment of Messi not being signed on loan and choosing Hibs instead.

Aye, but could Messi do it on a cold Saturday night in Dundee? 🤔

Furst there was Vladimir

Every player gets injuries. Especially ones that folk like to kick 😜 That one of his was caused by throwing himself in a river should be a cause for optimism.

He’s averaging over 30 odd games a season.

It wasn’t so long ago that we were signing players who hadn’t played 30 games in 5 seasons....

Moaning because it's too long or too short?

Салатные палочки

I've not read much of this thread but whoever is moaning about signing GMS needs their heads checked.

An injury prone journeyman apparently.

Too long apparently.

Only Hearts would offer such a ridiculous deal, that's the only reason he's here.

Perfect type of player for the left hand side, perfect length of deal, well done Hearts 👌

GMS and Ginnelly in the same team oofftt.

Was thinking the same which would indicate 2 and a half years seems about right.

said it before. Folk are stuck in 2005/2006 thinking we can sign the skacel and fyssas of the world 😂 when those players would be earning 30/40k a week in today’s money

Absolutely fantastic signing. I thought GMS or Jones would seriously improve us and to get a permanent deal and not just a loan is great business. Hopefully the first of a few premier league quality coming in for a change 👍🏻

I think he'll have a completely different attitude than Swanson.  He had that wet night out but I think GMS has his head screwed on a wee bit more than him as well.

And he’s not praying!

Some folk need to take their face for a shite.

The type of arseholes that get no enjoyment from anything. Either that or they’re trolling, couldn’t possibly be, could it?

Very good signing and the best winger we’ve signed in years, ginelly included.

Bit of revision and disrespectful.

Out of interest how many of the appearances are as a starter and a sub?

Great player when available,  haven't noticed any posts argue against quality

All roads lead to Gorgie

Very good signing which could go a long way to ignite our season properly. We have been wasting so much good possession by poor deliveries from out wide and GMS can make a huge difference to that and be a real goal threat too.

I always hated GMS as a tricky wee shitehawk player. This is a good sign.

Gordon

GMS

Michael Smith

Halkett

Ginelley

Kingsley

Boyce

Naismith

Irvine

That's the 9 I would keep and build a squad around. Majority of the rest can go.

Ditto, add in Souttar to that list when fit. A good signing considering where we are.  We just need a Striker and a centre mid who can create as we're very weak in that area.

It can't be overlooked,  unfortunately this is yet another player with injury problems.

What you had to say about his injury ‘problems’.

Which was an absolute nonsense post.

It has been pointed out to you how many games he’s played in the US and how many games he averages per season.

If you’re taking offence or are feeling ‘disrespected’ (lol) at being called out for posting nonsense, don’t post nonsense. It’s simple really.

Really good to know that we've beat Aberdeen to a signing if that part is true.

Feel bad for GMS though - imagine having to move from Manhattan to Slateford 😵

His career didn't start until his 20s. I don't think that is nonsense or insignificant.

He had long spells out at United Celtic and Aberdeen,  New York I didn't follow.

How many games as he started at all of these clubs?

Don't think its difficult to understand,  but I may be over generous in my assessment of your ability to interpret

Hopefully release at least one of Roberts or frear

It wouldn't surprise me to see Frear go if he can find a club down south. He only has a few months of his contract left and it hasn't worked out for him here. In addition how many wingers do we need.

Surprising thing, for me from that highlight reel was that he's quite strong and can hold players off. Always thought he was a bit of a diver. Delighted with the signing and looking forward to seeing him in maroon. Like Naismith a player you'd boo playing for the opposition and we don't have enough of them

He just comes across as a bit kite intelligent than Swanson.  Swanson thinks he's a semi professional wide-o.  How's his career going just now?
