Agree but think we need more cover and midfield creative runner types too - just can't see Walker or Lee being the answer and Naisy shouldn't be dropping deep IMO (as well as getting on a bit and injury prone!).....

Personally speaking in a back 3 certainly, he's the perfect RCB but not in a back 4 defence unless we signed a proper big stopper. Smith's a good defender but you still need someone that wins aerial duals.

My first post on the topic, great signing should we keep him on the pitch. If we can its an excellent piece of business. Just the nagging doubts about our record of keeping players healthy in relation to a player who I do think its fair to say, has not always had it easy. He definitely suffered as a result of the river incident too, with any signing only time will tell, personally I  think I will always be scarred by Oshinawa thread.

 

Peter Haring/Michael Smith slightly off topic, 2 that maybe didn't excite us but went on to be big parts.

Although Wighton has done well, if we lost him and replaced him with any of the top 5/6 on that list we'd have an instant upgrade I reckon. 

 

Although Cummings is debatable and Stewart isn't a striker.

Options are always good things, very rarely now do you get the same team playing 2 weeks in a row. Kingsley is not bad inside either, think I prefer Halliday as a left back too, another option.

Berra and Smith for a time being were a great partnership but obviously Berra’s now over the hill a bit and has never looked the same since his injury. 

 

Smith's good there because he can read the game very well, play out and tackle but he's only about 5ft11". 

 

I think Stuart Findlay is a big lump as is Liam Lindsay, both left footed too. Two players we should look at imo. 

 

Would love us to find another Andy Webster though.
