Cheers for the tidbits. I suspect if any news today it will concern outgoings, rather than incomings.

A massive pet hate of mine, particularly during the January window. Being that it closes 1st there’s technically 32 days to do deals and clubs immediately shoot themselves in the foot by not using 10 of those days as they happen to fall on weekends. Don’t know if it’s a Hearts or SFA registration admin thing, but it’s incredibly annoying. (Not to mention on top of those 10 days of no business there’s game days where little to nothing gets done on that front too)

Same in any negotiation situation. You only show the full hand at the right moment,  often the deadline

My new open question is whether Charlie Adam is harming Dundee.

Loads of assists and a few goals. But are the other players diminished? It's happened before. Johnny Giles at Ireland latterly. It could have happened at Barcelona recently.

A dominant player through which everything goes. But you get less from the others.

Didn't think 5 wins in 12 was acceptable.

You are absolutely correct, shouldn't be hard to set traps, when a team goes continually through 1 player.

No further news then, perhaps a busy Monday fair to say?

Sam Cosgrove is heading to Birmingham for a medical and to complete his move from Aberdeen after the Championship club agreed a fee.

Was it not Birmingham Hibs were supposed to gettin 2M for Nisbet from??

I thought Aberdeen were getting £6 million for Cosgrove recently.

If it is £2 million then its desperation.

They are well and truly skint.

Forced to sell to cover losses this season. Could be the last straw for McInnes who has stayed there too long for his own good.

The only consolation is Cosgrove has done very little this season.

Wonder if they'll move for that lanky Ross County striker to replace him?

I think you may have the wrong player

They had agreed a deal at the start of the season but the player rejected it..it was for £2m to Guimgamp in France

So no desperation really

Speaking to a Dons fan he said Cosgrove has not been the same player after he was injured. Selling him now makes sense as his value will only reduce. Curtis Main left as main striker won't worry many teams

Totally agree with this. Going unbeaten is rare. Winning every game I think is unheard of. Rangers for example are having an absolute stormer of a season and are unbeaten, but they haven't won every game. Has a team ever won every game in a season??

TBH it's not what I think, it just how it is, has been for years.

Logically , Celtic should always hammer us, the OF should win every trophy between them.

Football isn't like that tho, never has been and folk who are stating that drawing with a team in the same league as you are  in is  a "drama" are either clueless or have expectations that will never be met and have never been met. Look at Man Utd just the other day.

Aberdeen better not be bidding for Liam Boyce if they sell Cosgrove.

They can bid if they want. As long as we tell them to ram it.

I’d be disappointed if we let Lewis Moore go.Think he’s a better winger than two of the ones bought recently.Guess which two, and Ginelly’s not one of them.

Can't see us letting Boyce go this window with Wighton on his way out. Would be mental of us.

Boyce still has 2.5 years on his deal and we'd be mental to sell unless it's silly money.

I'd imagine they might go for someone younger with more sell-on value anyway. Ross Stewart possibly.

They could get Lafferty on a free. Even on a short term deal until they can look around for someone else in summer. Not saying they will but thinking about it, they could do a lot worse at this moment in time.

True and the further they and Hibs regress the better for us next season

They did want him before he came to us but it would mean handing over a fair amount of dosh which i can't see, especially if they could get Lafferty for nowt.

Sad but true.  We have always considered us to be the third best team in the Prem but how many times has that actually happened over the years/decades.

They can buy him for £2.5million.

We don’t need to sell, I think living in Edinburgh was a massive factor for Boyce and his family, we are a bigger club than Aberdeen, can pay as much as Aberdeen, have better infra than Aberdeen  and in a matter of weeks will be in the premier league again

in short, we will only sell if we want to

Aberdeen are skint remember - they were about to apply for a Gov loan (this may change things), I doubt they will be throwing money around.

Unless he has a relegation / buy out clause that could be activated with a relatively small bid.

Ross Stewart to the sheep is surely a stick on. I can't see anything else.

Gnanduillet is better anyway. We have more important areas to focus on.

Need to keep it on topic, but over the years us and Aberdeen have by a distance the best league finishes than the rest.

They have pretty much had the whole decade on top as well tho.

2 sc finals in a row as well for us.

I wouldn't be bringing in Bannon, agree with others, give a bit more to  Irvine and bring in someone a bit younger and cheaper, we do need a midfielder tho now that Lee has gone.

Bit early to be appraising Armand yet, but he's started well.

A striker starting well for us.... 😱

This.

They will not be splashing money about because they don't have any.

Loan deals only up there imo.

If Aberdeen sell cosgrove, I have a hunch the will go for Shankland. It's just a hunch and therefore probably completely wrong.

Its not a 1 way negotiation, selling clubs and players like to wait to see if other teams try to come in with a bigger offer. As the window goes on you are more likely to get a more desperate club who will pay more. Also there are a lot of deals linked (so club A is looking to buy player X from club B, but club B does not want to let X go until they have signed player Y from club C, and Club C want to sign player Z from club D to replace player Y. It requires club D to sign a new player then it allows the other 3 deals to go ahead.)

Feck me... sounds just like trying to buy a house in England!   :muggy:   :mw_rolleyes:
