Sounds like a Hearts type signing. Injury prone. Certainty. Announce the klaxon.

😫 omg no don’t go there. Our injury record as well covered on here is beyond belief

possible though? What’s his current situation?

George Boyd??? Mind you he is 35 so can’t see that happening.

Useless fact on George Boyd, in his heyday at Burnley, he all always at the top of "most distance run in games" charts.

An underrated player imo.

Currently Plymouth. But he doesn't have a full Scotland cap so maybe not!

Just a wild stab in the dark. Lewis Morgan . Although he is doing well over in the states and no doubt be on great money but maybe homesick . 2 scotland caps

A Scottish international midfielder?

A list off the top of my head as possibles

Tom Cairney( not playing much at Fulham)

Kevin McDonald (see above)

Ryan Gauld

Liam Bridcutt (loan at Lincoln?)

Barry Bannan (S Wednesday?)

None look feasible to me. So that was 10 mins wasted.

The interesting thing with Scottish players is a lot like to return home to finish out their careers, whether thats Berra Cowie, Naismith, Burke, Webster, there is a pretty well trodden path of Scottish players in their 30s coming back to wind down their careers here. Worth noting Kevin McDonald is 32 now and hasn't played this season by the looks of things. I'd love to be in for someone like that. He's got at least another couple of seasons in him before hitting any sort of significant decline IMO.

I think generally speaking we aren't likely to ever see too many English born Scotland internationals coming north of the border.

Some Scots to chuck in the mix. Not ITK, just guess work:

Barrie McKay

Liam Bridcutt

Ryan Hardie

Chris Maguire

Callum McFadzean

Lewis MacLeod

Furious or petulant?  Can be taken either way. As another poster has mentioned there’s a bit of noise about him moving on.

If someone is bidding a million quid then by all means, discuss it. However, if he wanted to leave you’d imagine it wouldn’t have been hard for him to work a deal with the club in the summer the way Washington, Ikpeazu, and Clare did.

The number of fans who seem to have something against Boyce is absolutely bizarre. We are lucky to have him. You know what he has in common with Rudi Skacel and Stephane Adam?

Enough of this idle speculation. The poster formerly known as GBB has the name(s). Spill the beans buddy, we are all good hearts men at the end of the day.

I’m certain we were linked to Bridcutt before.

Bit of a stretch this one but... James McArthur?

Know he’s playing regular but contract up in the summer. Maybe fancies coming back up to Scotland. Palace likely looking at the succession plan, he’s 33

I have nothing against him. I was delighted when we signed him and I think he will score for fun for us whilst he is here. He currently is despite the team playing poorly in many games. I just see his reactions on the pitch and his ‘apparent’ lack of empathy with team mates plus the rumours circulating re him being open to a move as a concern. I’m hoping he sees out his current contract and more with us.

The boy on Sky transfer news was just saying that Fulham were listening to offers for Kevin MacDonald. 😐

Is he any good?  My minds at a blank with him.

Defensive Midfielder.  32yr old.   Sounds about right.  :whistling:

A quick search says he's not happy in England due to Covid.

Tom Cairney was mentioned. Wages most likely prohibitive but what a quality player that probably falls in between 2 stools in England.

Should be a player either of the ugly sisters track

Would be known to Savage from Hamilton days and RN will probably have played against him a few times.

McArthur is defensive and might fancy seeing out his days at Hamilton. No chance on Tom Cairney IMO.

There really is a lack of forward thinking Scottish midfielders in England. I'm doubtful on that rumour tbh.

We seem to get less injury updates from the club these days. No idea if he has any hope of getting back in the side or if he’d consider moving for less money than he is on now. Could be stuck with him not playing and not moving.

Is he injured? It must be from a training session or a the 2nd team game.

I’m maybe remembering it wrong but I’m almost sure RN said he was injured earlier in the season and I’ve heard nothing since.

Mentioned before clubs are pretty crap not working at weekends during transfer windows. Not sure if it’ll be different as there’s only one day after the weekend to finalise anything. But if they stay true to form and count out the weekend then we really only have 3 full working days left - so if there’s to be 2 or 3 in and some to go out it may be a busy next few days.

Good point, SG.

We are the 3rd biggest club in the country and if someone wants to come back up the road and isn't wanted by the Ersecheeks then there is no better place to be.

We can but dream.

They turned down huge bids a couple of years ago, almost certainly going to be relegated again, chances are he will stay put.

A player of that ilk wouldn't half improve us.

What absolute nonsense. “Body language”. If he didn’t want to be here he wouldn’t try a leg. Watch the highlights last night any time a ball isn’t squared to him he’s furious about it. He’s a winner and just wants to score goals.

I’ll take that over a player who’s “just happy to be here”.

Screamed the place down when he scored too

I think we should send Gino off to a specialist to get him properly assessed. He's a player I want to see 100% fit and in a maroon jersey, so if it takes him to get treatment and sit out for a couple of months then so-be-it. Getting an injury free Gino back in for pre season training should be what the management team are hopefully thinking.

I guess now would be the wrong time to mention that the cub turned down the opportunity to buy in a product that would have improved our prevention of injuries?

A move is his choice but he doesnt have to play if it spoils any team spirit and unity created without him?

Work is being carried out to move him on this window ... but currently it is down to how much we want to subsidise his wages on a 6 month loan deal. Not sure why he has to play if he doesnt show the same desire as others in the squad.

So is his lack of commitment and not trying a leg the problem rather than lingering mystery injury? If so, they’re the kind of guys I can’t for the life of me understand. We’d be well rid
