Heard it was good.

Saw Husker Du at Potterrow back in... the mid-80s sometime. Wild.

It was good but would have been great if he had a band.  It was just him with an Electric guitar.

It was good but yeah would have been superb if full band.

My one complaint is again zero songs from Beaster. IMO it's the high water mark of his career

Agree.  JC Auto is a classic.

I can't wait for Billy Bragg tonight. Looking like a late one as showing a film on his career 7.50-8.30 then the gig from 8.45-10.45 and Billy will chat to the fans after that . I am in the front row and hopefully BB can make sense of this horrible world that we're currently living in. Unique performer as most of his fans want to hear him speak rather than sing....

Paul Weller in Dunfermline next April.

Squeeze, a band I have always wanted to see, the Usher Hall, Edinburgh in October next year

Both on pre sales today, general sale this Friday.

He was excellent. I was up in the gods as was a bit late in getting tickets. Glad he gave a wee nod to the lassie that kept dancing.

Got tickets for Squeeze next year. Haven't seen them since they were at the Playhouse in 1982.

Much were the tickets Dave?

The ones we got were £60.50 each.  There were cheaper ones though.

Actually expected them to be a wee bit dearer than that. I'll sound out a few of the guys tomorrow.

Got The Smyths tomorrow night at La Belle Angel. Always a cracking gig.

Got Gogol Bordello tomorrow night and I've been ****ed with a cold, which has now reached my chest, for the last 4 days. Hoping to feel up to it.

Its not clear if Dave's health has improved to allow him to tour is it?

It’s all a bit vague. I remember they played the gardens when the MTV awards were in Edinburgh and the people with tickets weren’t fans just randoms who seemed confused by the whole thing. I’ve always wanted to see them but looks like that dream will go unfulfilled for now.

Doing the Princes Street party for the first time. I’ve always avoided it as it’s never appealed to me but enough mates are going that I feel obliged.

Pulp are the act that we’ve paid to see but I’ve just heard that Jarvis Cocker has had a really bad injury so starting to worry a bit.

Never been the biggest Pulp or Jarvis fan although I rate the tune "sorted for Es and whizz".

Anyway, you probably already know this but he's the artist and director of the video for the tune "On" by Aphex Twin. I'm a massive Aphex fan boy and I only just found that out.

Jarvis is clearly a seriously talented individual.

I think I might go to Finland after New Year to see a couple of Battle Beast shows. I've never been there before so I'm open to suggestions for other stuff to while I'm there.
