Don’t see it being off, the worst of the windy weather is tomorrow and they have a plastic pitch. Might be the odd 40mph gust but it’ll not be off imho

If our game is off would that not mean we play it this coming midweek as well?

So no rest before Hamilton game

Think he meant if Celtic's game was postponed today but ours went ahead.

According to bbc weather the wind is meant to drop to 40mph by 8pm. Will be a ridiculous game with folk unable to keep the ball still for free kicks etc but I think it’ll be on

Yeah sorry should have been clearer. Our game goes ahead and Celtic doesn't.

Do grass pitches have a history of getting blown away compared to plastic pitches? 😳

Not too sure wind effects plastic less than grass tbh.

Question on BBC Scotland feed for us exiled down south.  I believe this is the story for those with Freeview;

* I can get it on the iPlayer

* If I retune my TV having fed it a Scottish postcode I can get it

was hoping I could watch on the big screen rather that on the computer without the pfaff of a retune, anyone know different?

I would have thought the reverse TBH.

Either way - gale force wind, pishing rain and a shit plastic pitch - what could go wrong? 🙈

Stendel in the press saying we’re playing our strongest team. With Hickey, Donis and Sibbick out I’d go something like this. Uche and Meshino off the bench if we’re behind or struggling for a winner.

Retuning doesn’t take long though. Be sure to select the HD broadcast too, channel 108.

BBC iPlayer will be a minute behind live broadcast

when the last storm hit a few weeks ago, Alloa who have a plastic pitch had their game called off due to flooding

That's where the BSC v Hibs game is taking place with a scheduled 12.01KO tomorrow.

Just in case you're not aware, and if you have Sky, channels from 950 to 980 have the regional BBC variations so you should find BBC Scotland listed somewhere there.

Good luck!

Hi mate many thanks. Unfortunately I have retuned my digital TV channels but still coming up with BBC South West. So will watch via the i player on Internet. No Sky either. If can't get it I can go into the Mess where they have Sky. All the best 👍

And the fact that one side of the stadium is completely uncovered so the pitch will be like vortex.

I'd play as strong a side as we can.

It's been mentioned we are getting used to a new style, so why not use another game as an opportunity to get more experience in this new way of playing?

We don't have that much time to get it clicking!

Some are saying forget the cup, concentrate on the league, so why not use it to get our players up to speed?

Tora, Tora, ****ing Tora!

Well exactly!

And anyway, I want us to win the Scottish Cup. Stranger things have happened!

I'm not convinced the rain and wind will cause the game to be postponed. However, when you look at the weather warnings in place one thing it does say is there may be power loss for short periods, so I guess it is possible the floodlights might go down for a few minutes.

I agree.  The game will go ahead, but I think it will be a shambles to be fair.  I’ve been to games at that shithole before where even a tiny gust of wind removes any chance of skilled football being played.  Add in the effects of a plastic pitch covered in surface water (depending on the quality of the drainage) and happy days.  It’s one of the worst places to play football on a nice day.

Irving for Sibbick and that’s the team imo.

Sibbick hasn't trained due to illness I think. Garrucio for White and Irving for Sibbick with a back three for me.

They will need someone to hold the ball still like the American football dudes with free kicks, corners and penalties.

why on earth would we risk players like Naismith, Boyce on this pitch, in those conditions when an injury would potentially be a fatal blow in relegation fight?

absolutely crazy that would be.

Stuart McNeill

This is the type of game it would be best having the youngsters on.

I'd imagine they would be more accustomed to the plastic pitches.

Additionally, we should be beating championships teams easily and we don't want any injuries to important team players in this relegation battle we are in.
