Disagree. Not worth the risk of losing one of the very few goalscorers, only to most likely pumped off an ugly in the semi, at best.

Fair enough.

We should always try and win the SC imo. Always, strongest side possible or what the gaffer sees fit.

Being a point behind Hamilton doesn't change that.

We need to keep the ball on the deck tomorrow and move it quickly. Up in the air or long balls will play into Falkirk's hands.

Falkirk  1 - 3  Hearts

Brother text me to say he does start. Get your money on Sammon FGS tomorrow. I have lost confidence in that clown. FFS  he can't even catch the ball.

he will get some serious abuse tomorrow if/when he makes yet another mistake

I'd play as strong a side as we can.

It's been mentioned we are getting used to a new style, so why not use another game as an opportunity to get more experience in this new way of playing?

We don't have that much time to get it clicking!

Some are saying forget the cup, concentrate on the league, so why not use it to get our players up to speed?

Tora, Tora, ****ing Tora!

👍

i have a suspicion our goalie won’t be dropped - but I’d give Bobby another chance. Best of an unconvincing bunch?

We’ll see.

Agree we should go for it.

At least for half the game the howling wind will be blowing behind Pereira so the ball should slow down enough for him to catch it

Aye but what about the other half lol

We will likely see a goal kick do a 180 mid air

If Hearts are into the wind first half, stick Pereira down as FGS

KO time will see gusts of 60-70mph around the Falkirk area.

The game might well be postponed due to the dangers of travel.

If Stendel tweaks the formation and opts for a back 3 with Smith dropping in:

                            Pereira

         Halkett       Smith      Souttar

Clare         Sibbick         Irving        White

                          Naismith

                Boyce              Washington

Falkirk's playing surface runs north/south. As the storm is approaching from the west, and their main stand is slightly in the way, the wind effect will probably be of a swirling nature blowing across the park. There could be quite a number of throw ins in this game, particularly on the side opposite the main stand (east)

Just read in the EEN that this is a lucky Scottish Cup day for us.  We beat Dumbarton 1-0 in the final to win our first ever trophy in 1891.  On the way, we beat Hibernian 9-1. 😁❤.

Certainly puts the 2012 5 - 1 into perspective

Will the game be on as storm Ciara is on it's way.

Just as well we are not going to Arbroath tomorrow night as you would have had to take your passport with you for getting back from Denmark if the wind caught you .suppose they would just have looked at it as a light breeze.

Another must-win in a season full of them. Any updates on Smith, Hickey or Sibbick?

After last night my head says 3-2 to us, but a couple of these guys back, a couple moving up from the bench and maybe a change in goals should make us more comfortable.

Smith is back, the rest still injured, maybe the Hearts ladies football team goalie will play for us, she must be better than Pereira.

as long as Falkirk don't get a shot on target, as we don't have a goalie who can save a shot.

It’s not Falkirk you’re playing though, is it?

It’s BSC Glasgow.

Senseless to risk Naismith, Clare, Boyce on a plastic pitch on a horrible stormy night, start with players who need some game time,

                             Bobby

         Halkett       Smith      Dickamona

Bosanich         Sibbick         Langer        Garruchio

                          Walker

                Avdijaj              Uche

Bench - Joel, Washington, Damour, Cochrane, Moore, Henderson

I've only got Joel on the bench because who else is there.

The next two games are such a weird paradox of being lower priority yet seemingly important.

Undoubtedly far more important games to come, such as Hamilton, but we could really do with a solid display and victory to get us going again.

Would like to see Walker in there, maybe starting with Washington swapping later.

I'd start with Walker over Washington every day of the week.

Dont rate Washington on what I've seen since he signed.

I think Souttar needs game time more than anyone as he’s been absolutely awful since he returned.

It was Dumbarton who beat Hibs 9-1 on their way to the final, not us.

Think they should call this off at lunch time today going by the weather.

If it was a 3pm kick off I think we could have been ok but looking at the weather from late afternoon doesn’t look good

Daily Record are reporting that Clyde v Celtic may be called off because of weather (and typically no mention of any other game). Match would then be moved to midweek and our match v Celtic.postponed. That might actually help us as more time to recover and prepare for.the Hamilton game.

Was very surprised to see the kick off time and that it was on BBC.

Might have something to do with the Calcutta Cup?

If our game is off would that not mean we play it this coming midweek as well?

So no rest before Hamilton game
