I suspect that we couldn't have signed him for more than six months even if we had wanted to. Imo, he was brought in for one specific short-term purpose, to help keep us from being relegated, and I think the player himself sees us a shop window stop-gap. Think of him as a mercenary "dog of war", footballing-wise. Things may change after the season is over - we'll see what happens then. Maybe, just maybe he'll bring out the best in our young players. Just remember how good even Callum Elliot looked in the good-old-days when surrounded/encouraged by some of our superstars.
