4 - 2 - 3 - 2?

MacLean and Uche up front.

Not very confident.

Even with 12 men I think we’ll struggle.... 😁👍

I like Uche - good lad, cult favourite, all the rest of it. But no way is he good enough or important enough to be having that kind of input.

Levein said a few weeks ago Uche likes playing with him.

I like playing with ma boaby but i have to decide where and when. Likewise with this, McLean is not the answer

The team is shite but makes sense given we have a semi final this weekend.

Semi is a dead rubber. This is the big game, a must win and the biggest of Leveins management career.

Uche likes playing wi Boaby as well, but he’s out of favour at the mo.

I'm actually quite optimistic for tonight, and that's saying something, coming from someone that wouldn't be overly disappointed if we got beat (if it meant Levein shown the door by 9pm)

The problems i see is Damour and Morrison being seriously rusty ( i don't rate morrison much anyway)

And scoring goals will always be a problem in a levein team.

Michael Smith is probably our best chance of a goal in that team and he’s playing sweeper

Morrison was on good form (though not in front of goal) before his injury. He scored freely on loan before that so i still l think there's a chance he will find that form again.

I'm reasonably optimistic for tonight, but I have no rationale to back that - I'll be shouting them on regardless. Just leaving

That line up is so poor. Hopefully wrong but can’t see anything but a loss tonight. That midfield is dross and uche couldn’t score in a brothel right now especially with the players he’s got around him.

Thought Keena gave us something when he came on against Livvy yet doesn't even make the bench

All we ask for is some consistency and logic. Maybe he thinks that Walker and Meshino on the bench is enough cover, but I'd rather have seen Keena starting ahead of MacLean.

Defence is okay. Not a great midfield and unless uche has a blinder can't see where a goal is coming from first half.

Not sure why Whelan has been dropped to the bench

Whelan was injured and is being protected for Sunday.

Contain them until half time and get Walker & Mesh on then ...?

Hope than one can last half an hour and hope that the other can produce a decent half hour.

MacLean!?!?!?!?? Talk me through it. Why?

He's scored a few at McDiarmid in the past (for St.J)?

Hopeless words of comfort are all I have, Roy. :)

McLean and Clare in the same team never works.

The players on the bench are better  than the ones in the team. We will get soundly beaten tonight.

Levein our will be the only good that’s comes from going bottom of the league.

There is the crux of why Levein is a poor manager. McLean and Clare are nowhere near good enough to play for Hearts. I appreciate that Rangers have a bigger budget but when you sign a striker in his 30's he has to still pose a threat. Hate to say it but Defoe is far superior to McLean in every way.

Tom Hardy’s Dug

I’m not sure what team people expect at present?

2 strikers, a winger, our best available defence and players on the bench we don’t want to risk from the start.

If walker and Whelan are good enough for the bench then they should be good enough to start.

No Naismith on the bench. I thought he was nearly back?

He’s been nearly back the whole season. Levein just saying that to keep Budge thinking that we’ll turn a corner and everything will be ok again.

We couldn’t come close to signing Defoe

Would have played Meshino. He is one of the few creative sparks in this squad, and potentially a goal threat if we can get him on the ball in advanced areas.

Think we may end up foot of the table going into November don't really care anymore

That's the problem. There's bugger all love for that team anymore for a lot of us.

Levein and his cronies have dragged us down into a pit of despair.

Get a new man in with new ideas, freshen things up and give us all something to get behind again.

There's easily 10 thousand fans that don't bother going to games these days.

Defo something weird going on with Naismith. If he is seriously injured Levein should just say so.

This made me chuckle, it's almost got me pining for when Vlad picked the team!!

The Whelan situation is confusing - I thought the party line was precautionary, nothing to see here, he's all good? Suspecting it's a wee bit worse than that...

We have another 27 games or so to correct a bad result tonight.

Only one shot at a league Cup final this year though, against a Rangers team we just drew against.

McLean is just a waste of a jersey.

Too busy acting like a knob with away fans plus the fact he is lazy and shi*e.

Hope to god Uche comes through this game unscathed.

3 games in a week for the big man is a risk considering he had tight hamstrings 2 or 3 weeks ago.

If Defoe played for Hearts he would start every week and be our best player. Comfortably.
