If anything I hope we don't win this week. I just can't see us beating them twice in a row and I'd take a win in the semi over the league game if offered.

That is weird.

Hi Craig. Don't you think you would be better getting back to preparing for the game on Sunday rather than hanging around here.

Don't you know CL doesn't involve himself with training, he just turns up on match day and selects a team.

I’m sure Paulo Sergio once said something about that kind of thinking in the run up to the 2012 Cup Final!!!

Well they say every cloud has a sliver lining. Stewart doesn't enjoy himself, he knows he looks like a tit but can't help himself, it seems that's a common trait.

That trait may be closer to home than you were thinking.

Let me clarify, I would be delighted if we won both, and I think we can beat Rangers. However I think if we win on Sunday then our chances of progressing in the cup decrease.

I sense an improved spirit on thread now that the Levein haters now realise that Hearts are not, in fact, bottom of the league.

Onwards and upwards.

You really are getting a hard-on over being joint third bottom, aren’t you

I doubt it.

Same.

Nothing wrong with giving an opinion, Morg, but belligerence and trolling is unnecessary. On all sides.

This thread's been one of the most negative for a while and that's a pity. I fear relations are strained between Tosh and I, for example, and that too is unfortunate.

Hopefully, one day, we can all get back to being best buds with nary a cross word. ;)

If we can all  start using words like ‘nary’ on a regular basis, then that’ll go a long way to repairing the damage.

Must be pretty sore too, having had said ‘hard-on’ for about two weeks now, and with no sign of relief in the immediate near future.

Yet another Hearts fan who doesn't know where we are in the table.

Could get even better. Fifth bottom within our grasp imo.

And yet, league results over the last 12 months are "meaningless".

It's all very confusing.

To be fair you thought that 1-0 win v Celtic when Naysmith made his debut was in the Scottish Cup.  And in the 1980's.  You dont know much yourself about Hearts.

To be fair I did say I was having a senior moment and couldn't recall the details.

Still, at least I can remember where we are in the league eh? Unlike some.

One day my hope is we reach 12th bottom.:)

Probably changed the league to 16 clubs by then though.:(

To be fair mate I don't think people want to know.  It's rather depressing looking at the league table after winning just 1 league match out of 8.  We should be 3rd so it makes zero difference if we are either 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th.  It's an embarrassing state of affairs right now.

Theres only one person acting the tit and it’s not Michael Stewart.  And that person can’t help themselves either.

The league gets it all wrong basing league position on results.

got to be a fairer way of doing it.

Surely if the form improves after the injuries as many posters have suggested he will be kept on.

Wouldn’t have thought so. Would take a cup win and top 4 for that to happen and I don’t see that happening.

But if you believed the form is down to the injuries he wouldn’t get replaced if the form improves. Why would he?

i believe he’s done a terrible job but I think he’ll be here as long as he wants tbh.

Theres a difference between form improving and top 4 and a cup win.

Win win then? But no I think the plan was always to give him the 3 years. Would imagine we’re planning for the next.

I have to ask, Vlad, but if you don't see top 4 or a Cup win happening if injuries and form improve, why the faith in Levein? After all, the injury problems we have seem to be the main, often only, excuse his defenders put forward.

If our poor start is the reason put forward that, imo, is down to Levein's incompetence as much, if not more, than injuries.
