Yes maybe but we have zero chance with him here that’s for sure

So we keep him for what reason cause I am at a loss he is the worst manager I have ever seen at hearts

I'd lay money that if we were playing attractive football and getting beat, you'd be wanting the manager sacked.

Robbie Neilson had a good win % but was chased out the door.

Right now, I'd take the team showing some passion and actually looking like we have a clue.  That would be a start.

Early in the season we played our game it was good and we blew teams away. Get a couple of injuries to key players and we went back to worrying about the other team and not wanting to lose. Don’t know if its confidence in the players or staff or what. I do know a few bits and pieces that are interesting and i believe a poster touched on , on another thread earlier. However what will come from that in the summer who knows.

We never blew teams away ffs.

Not going through it all game by game again but other than a few games early on we were far from impressive.

Sorry but the blame lies with the manager

it isn’t working and the money wasted is unacceptable

We are in a mess and the hoofball isn’t working

Levein only knows one way to play hoof it up and see what happens .... it worked in 1985 but we had robbo

Any other football manager would be sacked why is he still here. Cup final or not he needs punted ASAP

How much money has this man wasted at our club. For all the hearts fans contributing money it is a bit of a joke he is still here

The signings have been truly shocking yet strolls about like he is some kind of tactical genius.

Its getting to to the stage he is embarrassing himself with his ludicrous comments on a weekly basis

I would rather see him punted now and bring in a fresh manager you never know he could lift the club up before the final

Heckingbottom has done a first class job

- An incredible player: pre-injury, the best defender many Hearts fans had ever seen.

- A one-club man

- A very good Hearts manager first time round, at a time of enormous difficulty. Levein remains the only Hearts manager to have led us to back-to-back top 3 finishes since 1960

- Instrumental in helping save the club too

Had he only been a very good manager first time round, that wouldn't be enough to make him a legend. Had he only been a superb but unfulfilled player, that probably wouldn't be enough either. But when you take everything he's given to the club together, it absolutely is enough.

Fantastic player undoubtedly.

One club man means nothing.

Very good manager means nothing when you have to leave because you’re having a relationship with a member of staff.

He is no more instrumental in saving the club than you or I.

The rest, whatever.

Club captain in 98.

First team coach in 12.

Unbeaten player v Hibs.

He’s ahead of Neil McCann by a quite considerable distance.

Had he not been injured in the 96 final, he might well be on my first list. But he was, and was never remotely the same player afterwards. By contrast, Terry was absolute class, and responsible for the best individual performance by any Hearts player in the entire modern day.

If he wasn’t sacked after the Livi game, he’ll never get sacked. If he leaves, it’ll be on his terms and I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

No, it means a heck of a lot. And very good manager means absolute shitloads when it results in things like So ****in De Vreasy, 4-4, the Austin McCann game, Bordeaux, Braga... and leaves us in a position where Basel went on to happen as well.

All at a time the club was falling apart off the pitch. Teams almost never do well in those circumstances. Yet we did at a time we were cutting back left, right and centre.

Club captain.

First team coach.

On the two greatest days of our recent history.

A  MOM in a losing Coca Cola cup final doesn’t trump that, as good as it was.

I know it’s just your opinion and a bit of fun, but I can’t believe you would put Neil McCann down in the definitely a Legend list and Gary Mackay down in the maybe list.

The man with the most games in a Hearts jersey ever is a division below Neil McCann in your list.

It’s a funny old game.

Given he didn't play in either match and wasn't manager on either occasion, I don't think it does.

I get that, believe me. It's Mackay's behaviour as an agent in recent years and constant pops at the club that's bothered me. If this was 20 years ago, he'd be in my first list for sure.
