I will judge this result after next Saturday.  If we beat Kilmarnock at home having taken 4 points from two away games then I will be satisfied with 7 from 9 including two away games.  That and into semi finals.  

 

The regroup get some some players back and we go into international break okay.

It's all down to perspective. If you think we're in a relegation scrap a point away from home is ok. If you think we should be scrapping for a Euro place it was total sh**e.

Is that the one that bounced regularly between the top and second tiers?  Or the one that finished 8th while spending amounts of money that led to administration?  Or maybe the one that took only two points from the first seven league games, including a 4-1 defeat at Aberdeen, a 4-1 defeat at home to Partick and a 5-0 defeat at Dundee United in successive games?

Completely OTT. We beat Hibs and we knocked out Aberdeen. And while we're not very good, no-one else outside the OF is either.

 

This season could implode within a couple of weeks - or alternatively, be a slow burner in which we gradually move up the table. If we're now in a situation in which whenever we fail to win a football match, Levein is an "absolute clown" who needs to "just **** off", that's pretty silly tbh.

Largely agree. 

 

It reeks of that tendency with some Scottish fans to see the OF out in front and the rest just all the same. Just as Celtic would be disappointed with a draw at Pittodrie, we should be disappointed with a draw at St Mirren. 

 

I've never been in a Hearts dressing room but I've seen enough of CL demeanour and heard enough of his words over the years to suspect that his sports psychology is just off the charts brutal. Must be soul destroying being a player that wants to reach higher under him.

I will get a bit of flack here but we have just had to hard games in a week and St Mirren have had some good results at home this season already so I am happy with a point mind you if we loss to Killie next week we will be back to square one.

We are 7 points behind Motherwell and 6 behind Aberdeen already!!! After 7 games. Do you think we have the ability to claw that back!!! 

The pressure is going to be massive on the players and manager for the next home game.

I think Shankland is on 16 now, he scored a hatrick today.  We could have got him for buttons.

There are also a section of fans who seem to think we challenge for 2nd season after season. We don’t. We occasionally split the OF and win the big cup. 

Should we want more? Totally but it’s not the norm for us.

The injury situation is ******* ridiculous and I honestly don’t know if it’s poor preparation etc but I’ve never seen anything like it.

Ive been me holidays since 16th September. If you’d have told me when I left we’d beat Hibs at the Methadrome, knock the Sheep out of the cup and keep a clean sheet at St Midden Id have bit yer hand off. Sorry not sorry

For a while I thought it was an age thing, maybe it's just that kids are impatient and expect 90 minutes of fireworks and 5-0 wins every week or they're demanding blood. 

But it seems to be mostly guys who've stayed loyal through much, much worse over the years. Maybe it's a reaction to the united positivity at the start of the Budge era and the raised expectations that came with it, I don't know.
