Was played consistently at Southampton - mostly at LB until Burley was sacked. Capped for a team at the time much higher ranked than NI when Lafferty has been involved. I remember him being nothing special at Southampton think they let him go on loan actually. Anyway this isn't comparing them as players, rather the situation.
