Jammy T
He is exactly the sort of striker we don’t have. He is exactly the sort of striker we need to compliment what we do have. He is a level above any striker we have had since Sow. I think he will rip it up here. I really do.

Boris
Re formations... Berra as a sweeper behind Souttar & Halkett. Ether play those two as part of a four or go with 5 midfield, two wide wing backs? Obviously some names will not be in starting XI, but that's life! Zlamal Berra Souttar Halkett Smith White Haring Naismith Walker Washington Ikpeazu Granted, looks a bit light in CM - so maybe go one up top, and add Djoum (if he stays) or Edwards or Cochrane or Irving next to Haring

Washington is exactly the type of player who can combine better with Uche as he can work the channels and occupy defenders with runs from deep. Lafferty has the ability to do that but it isn't his natural game Which is exactly what I said to somebody last week. Nobody can say we really need a player like Lafferty until they see what other options we have or who we actually sign. You wont see this because I am on your ignore but hopefully somebody will quote it ?
innerjambo
His goals scored record, certainly is nothing to get excited about. However, he has played at a reasonably high level, so you just never know. Lets hope he finds his scoring boots with HMFC

That actually looks a decent team if you drop Djoum and put Halkett in his place. With Haring and Halkett defending the back 4 that will make us strong defensively. Both however are also well capable of getting forward and creating problems for opposing defences. particularly in the air. Despite that I would still like to find a slot for Mulraney if only because of his pace.

His abject lack of ability, mainly. Granted, he did a fine tactical job in the final - closing down the Celtic left wing and transitioning quickly to stop them building play between Hayes and Johnston. Luckily that didn't involve any attacking play going through him.

I think a 4231 makes sense with what we have, with the "3" being pretty interchangeable as far as L/R/C throughout a game. So: Bobby Smith Souttar Berra/Halkett White Haring Irving/Cochrane Washington Naismith Walker Uche Hickey, Mulraney, Lee, C Smith, MacDonald, Morrison, Keena, Wighton, Clare all able to make impact Dikamona, Bozanic, Edwards, MacLean, Brandon and maybe a few young lads all able to fill gaps should we need. Be interesting to see what happens with Zanatta. Add Djoum and we look great imo. Maybe light up top, but Naismith and Washington can play there, so we have options should need be. Bit of luck this year and that's a squad I'm happy with. Could trim a few from the list and survive. Any signing beyond what I have here would be a huge bonus.
