Said at time was crazy giving 4 year deal to injury prone player

It was mental. I hope there is some get out clause if he can’t play

Don't read the board much now and I haven't read over 70 pages of this but the long deal is surely to tie him down to become first-team coach/manger right? That must have been talked about.

The cynic in me is starting to think Naismith and his agent played a blinder here.

He’ll be on a decent salary.

That's certainly my assumption. Otherwise, it's up there with Vlad for stark raving bonkersness.

If he walks past anyone's windows, he'd better hope they're not eating a Chinese.

tartofmidlothian

If we had a good team who were winning games, and Naismith was in and out but offering us even more when he was fit, I'd be happier with him being wrapped in cotton wool.

Hopefully Meshino and Walker when he's back can take up the slack.

Sean Clare is the guy no one knows, who turns up for a game of 5’s as a favour to a mate, wearing new boots, is shite and then point-blank refuses to go in goals.

  • 2 weeks later...

Is he alive?

If  so when can we expect to see him playing or did we just give him a 4 year deal to cheer us on from the stand!!

Are we likely to see him this Saturday?

Levein said after the Hibs game that he was resting up and not due back in training for 2-3 weeks.  Suspect we’re hoping to have Naismith, Souttar and Haring available after the international break.  Handy given that I predict Whelan is going to get injured while away with Ireland.

You could have googled it yourself but then, you'd have missed an opportunity to have a grumble at the club you 'support'.

No risk involved at all.

Naismith stated himself he's here to play for the next 4 years, he's also stated he won't be rushed back from any type of injury.

He'll be back when he's ready.

Sounds good if we can get the 3 of them back after the break.

I was thinking the same about Whelan. Really don’t want him to play for Ireland just in case!!

It’s the reason Whelan is here to be fair, doubt we’d be able to hold him back.

He will be ready after the international break.

Or so we are told.

Deja vu feeling coming on again.

We will see, I guess 😏

Yeah he will always turn up when called up I think.

Just from a Hearts point of view I hope he doesn’t play.
