I for one would not be surprised to see Naismith, if not starting be at least on the bench. 3 weeks is still a while off and with Naismiths experience he could still make the squad even with no game time before. He came straight back last time without a run out for the reserves or anything I doubt he is going to make it. Even if he started running in the next few days then he is going to be well short of fitness and game time. He will be way off the pace and it's probably a big risk and could set him back. Hopefully if he is going to sign for us he can rest up properly over the summer and come back fully fit and raring to go.

It would be nice if he could make the bench and maybe get the last 20 minutes and score the winner but that is just fantasy I think.

Huge upsets do happen and I will always have that little bit of hope we’re gonna do it. That midfield 4 worked themselves stupid and made very few mistakes on the day, I’m not sure our current team is capable of the effort and work rate required to shut this lot down for 90 minutes. The fact that are we debating that Ryan Edwards could replace Naismith after playing 1 and a bit games sums up the whole season. How the **** can you put injuries aside on this issue when we don’t know who will be fit and when. You sound like a typical hysterical have a pop at any opportunity hard of thinking Levein hater. How the **** do you expect him to have an idea of his first 11 at this moment in time? Try and engage your brain with your fingers FFS. Gorgieshed
You cant disregard injuries. CL knows 7 or 8 guaranteed starters if all fit. 3 or 4 places you could name different players that wouldn't make much difference. Bobby M Smith Soapy Berra Djoum Harring Naismith Uche All start if fit. You cant blame Levein for not knowing his best XI given the injuries we have had. We are Hearts and not Barcelona with a limited resource. Edited May 6, 2019 by Gorgieshed

Morrison, at least an option if Mulraney is having a poor game or we wanted to go with two wide players, now that's not an option. Keena - something different to Maclean.
