exactly how I feel about him. Gives absolutely everything. Also seems to be a genuinely nice guy who want to improve and is good at listening. Uche Uche Uche Uche na na na na na na

Preferred that to the young team's "We all hate Jambos Kickback" chant yesterday.

Wanted to cry :(

His his goal yesterday,

did anyone else think that his "headed" goal actually came off his shoulder/chest, I was sort of in line with it and would swear it wasn't his head that made connection with the ball. Just an observation, it didn't stop me celebrating.

No way that ball flew in from 17 yards off a shoulder.

It was a powerful flick of the neck muscles and a great header!

We do need to extend his contract before Xmas IMO.

Cant leave it to end of season/next summer

I want him longer than 2 years and if we can’t keep him he could earn us a fortune.

Sorry in advance, first try at one of these...

To the tune of Copacabana...

His name is Uche,

Ichpeaaaazu,

We'll let the grass grow,

And he'll run the whole show,

If Uches a starter he'll hurt your wee farter..

He is a class above, he fills the Hearts with love...

Ichpeaa-zuuuu

Reading that back its terrible.

But hey, worth a bash!

(coat was on while typing...)

Just watched all the Premier League highlights and Uche is going to cause every defence serious problems this season. Naismith could score a barrowload off the knockdowns.

Is his contract 2 years or a 2+1 if it suits us type deal?

The big man is a breath of fresh air. Works his socks off every match. It doesn't always come off for him, and he will have games like the Dunfermline one, but he never stops trying, and never gives up. Love him to bits.

Just watched his goal.

An absolute beauty.

Most strikers that wasn't even a chance.

For him, terrific header and it hit the back of the net.

Seen enough to say he's going to be huge for us this season

That's what I thought.  If I was Craig and saw him charging towards me I'd run away.

That was an absolutely incredible header. Anyone who has played football knows just how difficult that was to execute. Hardly a whimper in the MSM in giving the big man credit.

Agree, even if that is a lot of gold!

Uche is absolutely unplayable.

He needs to add goals of his own on a more consistent basis but he is creating so much space for others. He must be a dream to play beside because he'll take 2-3 men out of the game every attack.

He's the perfect 'big' striker to lead the line. Great in the air, can hold it up brilliantly, runs the channels, good touch, can bring others into play.

I'd rather have Uche than Lafferty.

Dont mind if he scores no goals all season.

He makes things happen.  Fantastic display. Second half he was desperate to score when he’d have been better laying it off.

He was fouled all game. The attic the opposition have to adopt is one up his backside and an other backing into him. How that is not a foul is beyond me. Then if that fails they pull him, slap him and rugby tackle him and still it’s rarely a foul for him invariably it’s against him. Is it any wonder he get frustrated and annoyed.

The beauty is he tears them apart and leaves them for dead.

Ministry of Football

Funds should be found to extend this guys contract. If he continues to play like this he will attract serious interest in January.

This.

He doesn’t need to get on the score sheet himself to prove his worth. What he does for the team is there for all to see!

It must be an absolute dream for the rest of them.

I mentioned that he looked too desperate to score and the guy next to me said “probably a bit of inexperience”.

I said “nah, Lafferty was very experienced and he shot when there were better options regardless of the score. If Uche only does it when we are 4-1 up I’ll take that.”

Love the guy!

Appears Scottish refs (surprise surprise) have no idea how to ref him.

Absolutely clueless.

Craig wil have to make public statements pretty soon to explain the tules. In a lighthearted way of course.

Imagine what he will do to Hanlon and McGregor.

I almost feel sorry for them......almost.

If I were these two I would get the Pampers and the Tenas on because when big Uche is done with them they won't know what is coming out of where.

The veritable tsunami of wind, pish and shite.

Feckin vermin  trollops.

The Hibs' fans will no doubt scream for a foul at every opportunity as they regularly do at Fester Road.

A frustrating day for him, with shots not really coming off the boot right and ref giving him nothing despite two players holding onto him at times.

He still contributes massively on days like that, and his pace is frightening. At full stride, he is like a cheetah.

I thought the exact same after today. If he plays like that every week, I couldn’t care if he doesn’t score again all season - he’ll cause so many problems that the team will score loads.

Better for the team than Lafferty. His first touch and hold up play is excellent, also has good feet for a big lad ?

The frustrating thing is he'll get nothing from refs, but I think he's been told that. Doesn't over react, gets up and goes again.

At one point today he was in an actual headlock and didn't get the foul. Also had his jersey nearly pulled over his head. No foul.

Hibs will be painting the away changing room pink before our next visit to Easter Road. It'll have zero affect in Big Uche.

Each and every game he’ll take two defenders (at least) with him at all times. This frees up space and my word don’t Naismith and MacLean know how to use it.

We've made the pink bus shelter a fortress, they'll be playing into our hands if they do.

A slight tinge of sadness hit me today when I realised that a bid we can’t refuse will come in January for the big guy if he keeps this up.

He’s as good as any big striker I’ve seen in maroon in my time.  He’s unique.
