Kyle is preparing to play tomorrow. Sunderland can **** about in the press all they like he won't be asking for a move.

I know KL’s agent and haven’t seen him around in a while. Make of that what you will.

Probably because he has more than one player on his books and the transfer window is open. If you know him call him. I'm sure he will confirm nothing has really changed if you're such good pals.

Perhaps we should appoint a Director of Football to help him out.

Funnily enough he mentioned it was easier when he was DoF during the window.

Every confidence he’ll pull another one out the bag for us before the window closes.

Sorry, slams shut!

Are there actually any football forums on this planet that don't have insiders posting titbits? If so, what's the point of them?

Carl Fredrickson

My tuppence worth.

Not ITK but if KL is sold then I doubt it will be to Sunderland. I have a soft spot for them (goes back to 1982 when I got a tour of Roker Park and met big Jim Montgomery) and as as been said not only are they skint, they are in debt to E. Short to the tune of nearly £160m!!!

They have sold players for decent transfer fees and replaced them with frees of VERY cheap fees. Vaughan was bought for £400k in the summer and then sold to Wigan recently for the same fee. McGeady was brought in from Everton for £300k and the latest signing was a free transfer from Brighton.

The Roker Report that the link in a previous post is from is a fanzine type of page. They do get some decent interviews with players but have suffered with access to players due to criticising the running of the club (I agree with RR on that).

Sunderland may have been in touch but unless they are willing to pay a decent fee I cannot see KL being sold to them. Would not be unexpected to see him move abroad.

I suppose this will probably be a bad time to mention that a defensive midfielder from FC Sion WAS over to see us today.......hope I don't scupper what deal may or may not have already happened.

He seems to be getting game time and I would not imagine we would bring in a 18 year old. My bet is Ndoye.

An 18 year old who's barely played a game for them?

Birama Ndoye or Kevin Constant seem more likely to me.

Kevin Constant is ex AC Milan and looks to have a few big transfer deals previously, and playing for the u21s so maybe surplus to requirements?

Costant played for Ac Milan that would be an immense signing.

Thanks for your usual excellent info.

I take it I'm the only one who is thinking,  why do we need a defensive midfielder...

We had a back 5 on Saturday and a deep middle.

I thought football was about scoring goals...

3-1-4-1-1 is the way forward.  Strong at the back, solid in the middle and good width.

Hughes/Smith

Souttar

Berra

New DM

Randall

Cowie/Djoum

Cochrane

Mitchell

Naismith

Lafferty

We don’t have a solid DM (had high hopes for Nowak), we’re playing Djoum in there just now and he’s not at the races.

rudi must stay

Mveng, at 25, could be a brilliant signing. But if Constant is available I think you have to go for him, 25 caps for Guinea ex AC Milan him on a 2 year deal would be fantastic business
