I have a soft spot for them (goes back to 1982 when I got a tour of Roker Park and met big Jim Montgomery) and as as been said not only are they skint, they are in debt to E. Short to the tune of nearly £160m!!! They have sold players for decent transfer fees and replaced them with frees of VERY cheap fees. Vaughan was bought for £400k in the summer and then sold to Wigan recently for the same fee. McGeady was brought in from Everton for £300k and the latest signing was a free transfer from Brighton. The Roker Report that the link in a previous post is from is a fanzine type of page. They do get some decent interviews with players but have suffered with access to players due to criticising the running of the club (I agree with RR on that). Sunderland may have been in touch but unless they are willing to pay a decent fee I cannot see KL being sold to them. Would not be unexpected to see him move abroad.
