As it will be for many other countries.

You may laugh at Cuba but I hope in years to come that we can be governed by a fair party.

Who will trade fairly especially with countries such as Cuba who have been bullied for decades by the US.

I hope we can set up deals with lots of poorer countries exporting our goods and our companies .

But you carry on using project fear language and laughing at the poor.

I really hope if we gain independence it's not the arrogant tartan tory type that you are sounding like.

Wonder if your ancestry were Scottish slave traders?

Celebrate all the Cubans coming over here? I’m sure Farage and his followers will be hopping mad. They’re even darker than the Polish and Estonians

Carry on with your project fear language it's funny to read.

You are like the independence debate rolled up.

Watch you don't get mixed up on different threads though.

I actually read an article by the Guardian that we would all lose our tea breaks after brexit.

That's the level you are on buddy.

And why would they want to come over here?

Most are more than happy to stay in Cuba.

Your last sentence, oh dear.

So do I Spacey .

I even have friends neighbours and workmates who are from other countries.

Yes you can do all those things.

Next ?

Or is this the race card shamelessly played continuously by people like you who actually demean the serious side of it with petty point scoring.

Holland is a racist country now? Piss off!

10 years I've lived here, it's not in the same league. Sure there are tensions like everywhere else, it's a very highly densely populated country that's had to deal with a lot of immigration and they fear losing their culture, but I'm calling bullshit from personal experience.

UK will have to re-negotiate over 750 deals which it has as a member of the EU.

Spain has a veto over any Gibralter exceptionism.

Irish border question still not been addressed at all.

Still no EU passport for UK financial establishments.

Going swimmingly, then

The UK having to re-negotiate all it's current deals it has as being part of the EU, this has been known what was going to have to happen for the last 18 months or longer.

Spain has had a veto over Gibraltar from day one, so nothing has changed over this, you make it sound like it's something new, whilst again this has been known for the last 18 months.

Irish Border question, wasn't that one of the EU's red lines and had to be settled before moving onto stage 2?  But the EU is now happy enough to kick the can further down the road.

EU passport for UK financial establishments, was that being negotiated in phase 1?   If not then no surprise there isn't a deal, considering they probably haven't even started talking about it yet.

Funnily enough buddy I was tempted to post the vast array of conflicting reports on brexit.

The truth is in capitalism there are always winners and losers.

Which is why I look at the fundamental flaws of a superstar.

It always amuses me cade the socialist banging on about an organisation which Corbyn described as one which was run by bankers.

Superstars haha Freudian slip .

Nah

It always makes me wonder why, if the EU is such a wonderful club to be in, then why are they so shit scared of other countries doing a Brexit and leaving?

Besides I think the EU has a bigger problem on it's hands right now rather than Brexit.

Poland and the EU are on a collision course, over the Polish Government passing two laws which the EU says are undemocratic, but Poland says the laws are needed to combat corruption within the judiciary and to finally shake it free from it's communist past.   https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/dec/20/eu-process-poland-voting-rights

The EU could summon the Polish Prime Minister to the headmasters room, like a naughty school boy for a dressing down (perhaps not the best choice of words, but you know what I mean).

Hungary have already said they will support Poland, so perhaps Hungary could get dragged into this row as well.

The point is the EU will learn very quickly that the Poles will not capitulate so easily like the Greeks did.

If we have to do without Hungary and Poland we will.  If they want to exclude themselves from the markets of the west of Europe and trust themselves to another "Warsaw Pact", let them carry on and we'll watch their progress with interest.

The Irish border question has been sorted, and the EU knows that it has.  So do the leadership of the Conservative Party and the DUP.

I don’t think it has, there’s been that “constructive ambiguity” that’s basically deferred it to another day. Even the most ardent of right wing Tory scribes have said so.

The Irish border question has been sorted.  It is completely locked down, though of course the United Kingdom has 100% total and complete discretion over the matter.  100%.  Total. And complete.

Well, one side is the UK’s border, so I would assume so. Taking back control of sticky situation again.

"impact assessments" finally released.

They do not assess the impact at all.

They've more or less just copied and pasted bits of wikipedia as to how different economy sectors operate.

Shambles. I’ll never understand why people in this country accept politicians lying to them over and over again.

Totally.

Whether you are pro Brexit, or against it, I'm sure everyone could agree on how utterly shambolic this government has been in its preparation for negotiations, it's willingness to fully keep parliament up to speed (Parliament is sovereign remmember, that's the key Brexiteer argument!), not to mention its internal strife making it a laughing stock to the EU27.
