Always liked a wee stamp in my passport. They remind me of where I've been and when. As for fingerprints. They will probably do the same as Singapore. A wee thumbprint on a screen as you are going through passport control. Again, no hassle. No ink pads and covering your fingers in ink. These clowns in the UK nationalist media sure know how to twist minor things to their warped anti Johnny Foreigner agenda. The UK government asked for British citizens to be subject to different regulations as to when we were in the EU. Now it's happening we are seemingly being picked on rather than just being subject to the same rules as any other non EU country.

What might happen is that UK proposals go through and UK gets immigrant labour from selective EU countries but the EU doesn't reciprocate. That could happen because - I UK is so desperate it will sign anything ii UK has been done over before when EU negotiated better terms for EU HGV drivers when UK was desperately short of drivers IMO it's not going to happen because the UK proposals are blatantly racist and exclude E Europeans. I don't see the EU buying that given Brexit was all about Polish mums filling out hospitals , Polish kids clogging up our schools and Polish brickies under cutting our brickies. Nothing has even been submitted yet.

leginten
You couldn’t make it up, Part 859. Someone writing for The Telegraph - the reading matter of choice for the moneyed, educated branch of the Brexit xenophobes - has belatedly reached the conclusion that the UK is a raging skip-fire. For better or for worse the article is behind a paywall, but unfortunately it fails to mention a couple of factors most sane people would regard as germane to the transformation into said skip-fire, namely Brexit and 13 years of Conservative government. Sadly it’s a bit light on suggestions for European countries the under-50s might move to, but having enabled and cheerled the removal of our liberty to live and work in 27 other countries it’s maybe unsurprising that The Telegraph is keeping schtum on that matter. The current tactic from tories is to blame voters : it's what the people wanted, apparently. I must've missed the bit where Lard Arse drove his big red bus of bullsh1t around the UK. it's got nothing to do with thirteen years of tory misrule or the raging civil war in the tory party though. Cade
James Dyson loses his libel case against the Daily Mirror. In the Daily Mirror article, the journalist Brian Reade referred to Dyson as “the vacuum-cleaner tycoon who championed Vote Leave due to the economic opportunities it would bring to British industry before moving his global head office to Singapore”. “Kids, talk the talk but then screw your country and if anyone complains, tell them to suck it up.” Dyson sued, claiming that this constituted a “vicious and vitriolic” personal attack. Judge ruled that no harm had been done to Dyson's business or his philanthropic work and threw out the claim
