Newcastle East has just declared looks like in this one Labour have gained from the UKIP share. Think that's how it's going to be all night, and different areas one or the other is going to get the UKIP vote

Going to Conservatives in Leave areas and Labour in Remain areas (Newcastle was Remain, Sunderland Leave).

I'd be surprised as she is highly regarded. Never know though.

The language in your post is ridiculously bitter though. Pretty pathetic that folk can't speak with abusing other folk because they believe in different things.

Black has been getting some stick from the locals over her quiet stance on local hospital changes and closures.

Dare say she'll hang in. But some SNP majorities will narrow.

SNP bird on bbc1 doing my napper in.

Cant answer any questions at all.

All about the other parties.

Channel 4s coverage is far more entertaining!

Hadn't realised that. Well spotted.

We won't really get a clearer picture of the national swing until we see a few results from other regions of England.  So far, 6 of the 7 declarations have been in the North-East.

Find out soon enough mate.

It's at least a lot more interesting night than anyone would have guessed when the election was called.

UKIP will collapse around the country, and the Conservatives will get most of those votes, but that effect seems to be more pronounced in the North-East of England than in other regions.  At an earlier stage in the election campaign, a YouGov series of regional opinion polls showed the Conservatives as gaining more in the North-East than in any other part of England.

YouGov's fundamentals looking better than others right now if I'm not mistaken?

Last time the Conservatives led Labour nationally by 6.4%.  On the eight results so far the gap between the parties has closed by 1.8 percentage points.  If that carried through across the country the Conservative would lead by 4.6%.  That would be in the kind of territory that YouGov's opion polls were predicting, and would also be enough to see the Conservatives drop to between 315 and 320 seats.

Agreed. But we're going to get one. May will resign tomorrow morning. Utter shambles and her own fault. George Osborne has just said that the Tory Manifesto has been the most disastrous ever by a governing party. Sweet revenge!
