Spaffer now intending to implement significant tax cuts etc which will hamstring his replacement. Being a d**k right to the end.

The Tories will “Continue Delivering for the Ukrainian People”.

Yet the people at home suffer. We've done more than anyone else to support Ukraine, We've already spent trillions on war the last 20years and look at the state of the place. How much more are we going to spend blowing people up that we don't have to?

Can’t disagree. But using the phrase, “Global Britain” comes at a price. We still want to project the image of “Johnny Bigbaws” on the world stage so spending all that money to help Ukraine helps achieve that aim. I suspect many voters who are struggling financially don’t join those dots and would still vote for Spaffer tomorrow.

Yes “ be careful what you wish for “ comes to mind . Bad news for Indy really as I’ll predict a new  PM will be more conciliatory towards section 30 and this will infuriate Elsie , aka Mrs Grievance

That’s cause there is no accountability up her, unlike in England which has just been proven . And they are calling it a “ broken “ system

No chance, J.

Regardless of who gets the gig, a Section 30 will not be ceded by any Tory.

Labour have even set their stall out in opposition to any agreement with the Nats.

Nothing that has happened today will change the UK's view of Indy.

Being decisive and honest.

It was so easy to let Owen Paterson accept a 2 week suspension for breaking lobbying rules then simply admitting some parties did take place.

Could have avoided all this easily. People would have moved on.

But lying and cheating is a way of life for him and the idiots who propped him up seamlessly adopted the same vacuum of morals and honesty.  They all normalised a way of life that is very far from normal.  Politics will be lucky if it recovers.

Opposition to Indy is not solely an English thing.

I don’t have strong opinions about his native New Zealand so I’m baffled as to his strong opinions about my country tbh. He’s a Farage type I make no apologies tbh.
Incidentally who out of this conservative lot is going to appease us pesky jocks do you think? Johnson was incredibly the best of the lot Imo.

Sorry, disagree.

BJ was Trumpesque in his tenure as PM.

I despise the whole ideology but there many “ better “ candidates in their ranks.

I wonder if they'd be so out of touch to go for Gove, thinking he'd appease the sweaties.

He holds British and NZ citizenship . You sound like that other poster regarding who gets an Indy vote . Not a good look.

Off the top of my head I’d say Jeremy Hunt or Dominic Rabb . Can’t stand either but they may be palatable to some.

You slag JD for his childish comment and come out with something equally childish.

That kinda makes it difficult for you to hold the moral high ground.

His was talking about being violent towards a person he disagrees and also not even wanting the person to have an opinion , whereas mine is harmless name calling . Massive difference .

Honestly can’t stand that Jeremy hunt. He was still pushing for mandatory vaccines early on this year after the u-turn.

Only last month he was mentioning a zero covid policy and pointing to his sister who lives in China being escorted home and quarantined for 2 weeks whilst the police sat outside he’s got a screw loose somewhere I’m thinking. God help us if he becomes PM lol

I expect BJ does not want to continue as caretaker but the 'STories' see it better if seen to be preventing him doing so. That would be consistent
