SectionDJambo
Goodness. Rees Mogg could have given Dr Goebells a run for his money in the propaganda stakes. Rarely do we have a PM as outstanding as Johnson? There is nobody else alive who could do as good a job as him? He is leading the world on it's response to the Russian invasion. It was a little mistake over 2 years ago? He wasn't at any parties. He was just going round the house with his interior decorator. Is he really saying that there is nobody else within the Conservative party who could take over from Johnson if he got knocked off his bike by a London bus? What does that say about all the other MPs in the Cabinet and the current talent within the Conservative party? What does it say about the Conservatives that they are happy to have a man who lies as easily as he breathes as leader, just because "he got Brexit done", by signing an agreement which is now trying to backtrack on. What does it say about the Labour party that they can't make more of an impression on Johnson's re-election chances and are relying on Conservatives to get rid of him? In my opinion, Margaret Thatcher, who was a very devisive figure in her own right, but still a beacon of light to the Conservatives, wouldn't have had Johnson anywhere near her Cabinet. He is only out for what benefits and praise he can gather for himself. Any Conservative who thinks he should still be PM can't have a high opinion of Westminster or the Conservative party today. This country has well and truly gone to the dogs.

Just look at that announcement on asylum seekers yesterday. I don't believe it will actually happen but as a policy wouldn't have looked out of place coming from the NF, BNP or UKIP. Quite happy to be lied to, just like the Russian population that the same Daily Mail readers are incredulous at for believing their leaders. I would ask all those people who think it’s time to move on, did you have to let a close relative die alone, and then have severe restrictions on their funeral? This isn’t about not being able to party like those in No10. Meanwhile, the man who made the rules for the plebs was, knowingly, allowing his staff to having parties under his watch, and actually attending them. Too many of the British public are selfish mugs. Thatcher was maybe correct when she said there is no such thing as a “society” in Britain.

Cade
The Tories are trying to make this all about the fine and the severity of the lawbreaking. That's not the real issue (at least not for Parliament). The people of the UK who were cooped up like battery hens for months may disagree. The real issue for Parliament is that Boris repeatedly lied about the events in hand and wilfully misled the house. Trying to kid on that "he thought he was telling the truth" is a feckin joke. Victorian
This government has been markedly reluctant to even consider the demand side of the energy market by attempting energy efficiency. But even the biggest energy corporates are now crying out for it in order to head off some of the poverty carnage to come. Beggars belief that even the commercially advantaged are more interested in social justice and basic human rights.
