Nah, sorry. Any admission of guilt or wrongdoing is seen as a weakness so they will practice any perverse level of bullshit required as seen there. The interview is more a platform for that ***** than any grilling.

Goodness. Rees Mogg could have given Dr Goebells a run for his money in the propaganda stakes.

Rarely do we have a PM as outstanding as Johnson?

There is nobody else alive who could do as good a job as him?

He is leading the world on it's response to the Russian invasion.

It was a little mistake over 2 years ago?

He wasn't at any parties. He was just going round the house with his interior decorator.

Is he really saying that there is nobody else within the Conservative party who could take over from Johnson if he got knocked off his bike by a London bus? What does that say about all the other MPs in the Cabinet and the current talent within the Conservative party? What does it say about the Conservatives that they are happy to have a man who lies as easily as he breathes as leader, just because "he got Brexit done", by signing an agreement which is now trying to backtrack on.

What does it say about the Labour party that they can't make more of an impression on Johnson's re-election chances and are relying on Conservatives to get rid of him?

In my opinion, Margaret Thatcher, who was a very devisive figure in her own right, but still a beacon of light to the Conservatives, wouldn't have had Johnson anywhere near her Cabinet. He is only out for what benefits and praise he can gather for himself. Any Conservative who thinks he should still be PM can't have a high opinion of Westminster or the Conservative party today.

This country has well and truly gone to the dogs.

Creating division, so long as you can muster 52-48, is very much part of modern right wing politics. Just look at that announcement on asylum seekers yesterday. I don't believe it will actually happen but as a policy wouldn't have looked out of place coming from the NF, BNP or UKIP.

https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2022/04/12/lockdown-fine-public-think-johnson-sunak-resign

A new YouGov snap poll shows 57% of the public now thinks Johnson should resign as prime minister and another 57% that Rishi Sunak should also leave his position as chancellor.

It would have been over on Dec 8 2021 had Boris Johnson told the truth
It would have been over for Boris Johnson had he told the truth on Dec 8
He can't be trusted to be honest over even the tiniest things, you would have to be extremely foolish indeed to trust him on the bigger things

If those figures are true, even of solely Daily Mail readers, then it shows how low the British public have sunk in their moralities.
Quite happy to be lied to, just like the Russian population that the same Daily Mail readers are incredulous at for believing their leaders.

I would ask all those people who think it’s time to move on, did you have to let a close relative die alone, and then have severe restrictions on their funeral? This isn’t about not being able to party like those in No10.

Meanwhile, the man who made the rules for the plebs was, knowingly, allowing his staff to having parties under his watch, and actually attending them.

Too many of the British public are selfish mugs. Thatcher was maybe correct when she said there is no such thing as a “society” in Britain.

Might change the modus operandi a bit. People need to hide a bit more.

But it's not going to stop the numbers coming here.

The Tories are trying to make this all about the fine and the severity of the lawbreaking.

That's not the real issue (at least not for Parliament).

The people of the UK who were cooped up like battery hens for months may disagree.

The real issue for Parliament is that Boris repeatedly lied about the events in hand and wilfully misled the house.

Trying to kid on that "he thought he was telling the truth" is a feckin joke.

The irony of the Starmer telling that story about " John Robinson". if he had been PM there would have been a never ending Lockdown and more and more  tragic John Robinson stories.  Think its lost on him really.

The whole point of this is to be able to quote Tory MPs for ever more.

What they say today could be their political epitaph at next election.

The Tory custom & practice,  default tactic of turning the menaces on anyone with influence who speaks out against their snakery has fairly rancid similarities with what might be expected of totalitarianist / dictatorial regimes of the present time and the past.  They'll probably be threatening to sell off the CofE.

This government has been markedly reluctant to even consider the demand side of the energy market by attempting energy efficiency.  But even the biggest energy corporates are now crying out for it in order to head off some of the poverty carnage to come.

Beggars belief that even the commercially advantaged are more interested in social justice and basic human rights.
