Absolutely horrendous! Worst players you'll ever see, makes the donks at Circus look like Phil Ivey! Was stinking, was a tenner rebuy, took about 4 bad beats and gave up. Went along to Circus for cash. Waited for a good hour maybe even 90 mins to get a seat. Finally get a seat and as I'm sitting down I say for a laugh I've waited this long I'll probably stack off first hand and this winker goes aye hopefully you do. Well that was it for him, I was after him for that. Called one of his raises with 35 off hoping to bust him. Flop comes down 2 4 6. Doubled up through the ciant. Take that! Statto Posted March 1, 2009 Share Posted March 1, 2009 Was playing a pokerstars satellite, I was on about 12K, blinds at 500/1000. 5 hands in a row I lost every one a suck out/bad beat!!! eg. a small stack called my all in raise (I was down to 4K at this point, he had 2K) he had an 8 5, I had K7, he hit his 5. I can't remember the one I got knocked out with, but it was a rebuy, $3 for 2000 chips, my next hand, the UTG player called 1k, I had 1900 left (100 ante), I look at AQ, I push, folded round to the SB, he folds, BB (also the big stack re-min-rasied and the UTG caller folded. BB had AQ as well, I thought, great I'm picking up 750 chips from half the SB and UTG-man. Wrong! My good friend 4-to-the-flush made a return, 4 spades I didn't rebuy after that. I hate 42f! I called 10 pre-flop with it. Then flop the nuts, what a feeling. He bets 30 I call. Turn 9 (my mate folded 99 on the flop because he was suspicious of me!). Guy checks I check behind. He bets 45 on the river and I go all in for 30 more. He has to call to look me up. Was beautiful. Also called Naz down a belter. He made it 16 after i'd limped with 66. I called. Flop 952. He checks to me. I check behind. Turn 2. He bets 30. I call. River 4. He bets 45. I tank it for ages and call him and he turns over AQ. Basically only two pots I won all night, had nothing in the way of cards at all (besides flopping the straight!), had to really grind at it to make a profit of just ?80 for the night. Sky Poker is just hilarious though. Got a guy all in for about ?35 on a 9TT flop with A9 against my Kings. Was the same guy who couldn't let go of his queens on the K high board when I was bluffing that I mentioned a page or 2 ago. Skyp up to ?955, with a ?50 rakeback bonus for February due tomorrow. There is 44 players left, I'm 3rd, there will be 8 seats available. I'm playing very good statistical poker, making the right decisions, there was a min raise when the blinds were 25/50, I was in the BB with 3 5, I was getting 9/1 to call, I did and flopped 2 pairs. I bet out to see where I was, 1 raised all in, another went over the top, I called, one had hit top pair (Q's) and the min-raiser had AA. I won the hand and am currently sitting on 27,895 (inc. an add on), blinds will be at 50 and 100 plus a 10 ante after the break. I also got my second royal flush, again they made it cheap for me with my JcTc, I had the flush draw and an open ended staright draw, I hit the Ac on the river, I didn't get much out of it, I bet 100 into a pot of 400, hoping he might re-raise, he just called. I'm playing well, starting to play looser, I might tighten up going into the 3rd hour, I've got enough chips to wait for the hands, I'll see how that strategy works out. Our table has the advantage, we have 5 players = less blinds per round, the other 2 tables must have 4 players. Now got 13,518. I check, someone bets 60, I call, a second player raises to 400, the other player folds, I re-raised to 1300, he called. Turn a K. I bet 900, he raised the other 300 and turned a 7 10 ??? I was that nervous and excited that I didn't see that the board paired on the river. I'm sure you all know what that means. That took out half on my stack and a bad beat got what was left an hour or so later. It was good fun though so I'm definately going back. Any info would be great. Dont ask D-Mcg.. he's usually to drunk to notice.. ha ha ha ha Blinds are usually ?1-?2 On the button you put in an extra ?1 as the table is charged at ?25 an hour. Min buy in is ?50 Usually the cash table opens as people leave the tournement - about 10pm -10.30 (until 5.30am) Sometimes there are 2 tables, usually its the same blind. On occasion it can change. Qulaity changes. One man sits with over ?1000 on occasion and will put you all in a lot. Others are drunk and just want to donk of chips. Some can play. Mostly though I would say it is a very very aggressive game with some TAG and some LAG Maybury plays cash as well, haven't played in it myself. Local dealers who you can tip. There are 3-4 people who scramble to deal on the tables, it is a good part of their income so if you win a good pot, throw them a quid or two My advice... Stand at the side and watch before you sit down. Work out who is just at it etc.. and know who will bet with nothing, 3rd pair etc.. these guys are great. Was chipleader with just under 50k, blinds at 1.5/3k with a 300 ante, guy raises to 12k , i reraise to 25k with AQ and he goes all in for about 30k total. He has JJ which hold up and make a straight on the river although I hadnt hit anyway. Next hand i'm now shortstacked at about 15k, shove KK under the gun and get 2 callers Flop comes 666 so i'm feeling pretty good , one bets other calls all in so cards are turned over Me: KK Villain 1: AQ Villain 2: 55 Turn is a blank and river is the case 6 so we all have quad 6's but his ace kicker wins the lot. Next hand the player who had 77 on last hand had A8, I raised with KK, dream flop, A and K. All in on the flop, he also had a flush draw. He hit an A on the river as well - that gave me the FH. Anywhy gave someone a pretty sick beat I had 44 on the Button, raised 2 1/2 BBs.The Blinds both call. Flop T4T - I bet small blind calls and big blind folds. Bigsmak Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 I lost some crackers this morning. $60 when I managed to get all my chips in pre-flop against QQ - lost $70 when i also managed to get my AA in against another QQ. lost $55 - KK all in Vs A2 off suit and then AA again, losing about $50 against 9Q off suit.. Raise, I reraise.. they call.. Flop is 10, J, 3 They Push all in, I call.... 8 comes out... So $235 bucks there.. I only finished my session about $70 down so I was very happy with my poker. Larry Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Just playing a $5 tourney on stars just now. 2500 runners and 100 left. only got 42K chips though with blinds 1250/2500..average is 75K. 4hours ive been playing this and only had AA once(everyone folded) no KK,noQQ and no AK. Have just been lucky to double up when ive pushed with marginal hands like KQ and A10 or middle pairs. Anyway heres hoping i get lucky, just under $2000 for 1st. Pushed all in with JJ and got called by 1010, he flopped the 10. Would have had a nice 80k stack and half a chance of final table. instead, i outlasted exactly 2497 people and only got $20.53 for my efforts.
