Never mind our own philanthropist, or the hotel money, or the FOH money, or the 3rd place finish prize money, or the Scottish Cup revenue. And if Shanks and Cochrane do go this summer you could look at another £6 to £7 million or so coming in, ( although I'd be happier if they stayed) And for what it's worth, players like Penrice, Yan and Spittal are coming in to help us cope more with the demands of playing Thursdays and Sundays next season without there being too much of an impact to form. But last I heard they made an operating loss of approx £6m last year and conveniently the amount Foley is investing is £6m? As we’ve witnessed with them in the past when it comes to the business end of the season these loan players don’t have the fight. Their minds on the summer and where they are going so injury isn’t worth it. I wouldn’t fancy a team of loanees in a relegation fight that’s for sure. I can only say that I would never want Hearts to be where they are. A part of a chain of clubs where you are not the biggest link in the chain. That seems to me to be a pretty precarious position to be in. A part of your individuality is gone and to some extent you have become a pawn in a game designed, ultimately, to improve the fortunes of another club.
