Brellier, Bednar and Pressley at Robbie's game [Pressley threads merged]

Frankly, anyone who gives Pressley a hard time needs to grow up. He is showing his commitment by being there.

Hope the same goes for ALL players who turn out wether past or present.:)

I'm thinking about going now, just so I can give that chest pumping, Judas bassa the abuse he deserves:mad:

Phressley GTF, you're not welcome:Bazooka:

Why does Therapist have the "h" after the "r" and you have it after the "P"? What does the "h" mean anyway? Genuine question.

I imagine therapist puts the h after the r as if you put it after the p it looks like fressley.

celtic = the bhoys.

therefore anything and anyone associated with celtic gets an extra h thrown in there.

for example manks becomes mhanks.

After speaking with my friends that I attend games with, the dozen or so of us that were planning to go on Sunday, aren't now.

I suspect inviting that rheptile back, could cost Robbie a few quid - shame

Nevermind about cavemen DH.....these games are still terrible - I swore i'd never go to another after Neil Berry's about 13 years ago - although I think I subsequently went to Levein's (2nd) benefit game & also Big Slim's against the Huns.......if there was nothing else to do then maybe....however there is what should be a great afternoon of premiership football plus Hearts also play real matches on saturday & tuesday.

I am going to settle for Man Utd v Wigan.

I seriously would have loved to have seen some of the ex-players again though.

Especially Elvis. :)

But I cannot bear the thought of my very hard earned ?10 going to a player I think is a complete waste of space.

So I'll be cutting off my nose to spit my face on this occassion.

They should really be letting people in for a couple of quid to cover security & some expenses and letting kids in free - I don't understand the ticket pricing - but is it really right to expect fans to contribute a fair wedge to a retirement fund of someone who could have another 5-8 years to play depending on fitness etc. and is already financially secure?

Its the charities that will miss out, none of the money will be going into Robbies pocket.

To me it is quite easy

Elvis in Hearts shirt - Don't boo

Elvis in Celtic shirt - Open season for booers as far as I am concerned

That goes for all Hearts players in Hearts shirts. You don't boo your own.

It's not right.

And it's too early in his career for a Testimonial.

Correct - virtually all the previous players played a decade or more in the first team whilst McPherson played about 14 years split between Hearts & Rangers twice each but always at 1st team level - at this rate Sives & Berra will be due their testimonial in about 3 or 4 years time if 10 years at the club is the criteria.

A few quid that Robbie would probably rather not have anyway, I'd imagine.

So what happens if Elvis ends up back at Hearts in the future...in a coaching capacity perhaps? You going to stop going to anything at Tynecastle?

I like Robbie, that's why I won't be attending - wouldn't want to spoil his day.

I'm still helping out, by picking up Stephane Adam from Prestwick Airport on Saturday for him though.

Remember to kiss there backsides as they step onto the bus then.

Well if Robbie is donating the money to charity then great he deserves commended for that however he would be better served to publicly declare this and name his charities as the general perception is he will be pocketing the money which is one reason I'd be put off attending any game of this nature. :)

I wont be going but it is nothing to do with whether Pressley will be there or not.

I'm not a fan of testimonials and I don't think Robbie needs my ?8 pound more than I do.

I think that watching a load of players now, who were in their prime in 1998 but are now well past their best would just spoil the memories for me.

I hope everyone who goes enjoy themselves and I hope Robbie enjoys his day. Each to their own.

Will Pressley not be expected to be at Parkhead on Sunday watching his team mates(Hartley incl) challenging for the league title??? With a police escort (along the M8) he might make the last 10mins of Robbies game.

Cup Winning Captain. Led Hearts for years. Legend.

But even if you hate him, why avoid going on Sunday just cos he'll be there? Sounds a bit of a bizarre reason to me. Not criticising (personal choice etc), but I don't understand people not going on Sunday "Just because Pressley's there". He beat his chest. Big deal. He's a Scottish Hearts legend. He won us the Cup ffs. How many Cup Winning Captains do we have? Not as if we win the sodding cup very often.

If you hate Pressley, could still go and just not bother with him. Me, I want to see Robbo etc.

Romanov is the disgrace. He's ruined the Club. But I don't boycott games where Romanov will be attending (to be fair, he doesn't attend, but that's not my point).

Don't know about Robbie, but in generall, footballers tend not to pocket the money these days, as they are well paid during there careers which they weren't in the past.

So why hasn't it been publicised? That'd just be a bizarre thing to keep quiet, I certainly think that they'd be making more of a fuss of it if it was the case.

In general? I'm not convinced about that, the only player that I can remember giving all the money from his testimonial to charity was Niall Quinn. I'm sure that there've been a few others, but I'm not convinced that it's standard practice - which is part of why I'm uncomfortable with testimonials. Who really needs my money more, me or Robbie Neilson?

Mate, I will be finished that well before 12.30 (god willing!:)), just by time I get back over the bridge and washed and fed it might not be worth it. Have persueded Mrs Terraces that it'd be a good idea to go, so that's that logistical headache sorted!;)

For telling VR where to shove it, I would imagine a great reception, however after his chest thumping antics not so long ago, who knows? All depends how many of the bigot brigade are at the match I suppose.
