Footballfirst
I would be very surprised if Wallace is sticking his neck out without some truth in these quotes then from Summers. So he says they are in a more positive position than in February. Then how does that explain last week's statement of not being able to pay their bills if the current share offer is under subscribed. Footballfirst
The AGM date is as odd one as the auditors would almost certainly have to sign the accounts off with a "qualified" position on a going concern, unless the financial situation has improved markedly (which it hasn't). As we are so close to the accounts being issued, an unqualified sign off cannot be forthcoming at this time, otherwise the Rangers Q.C. would have produced it and we wouldn't be discussing Ahmad's claim. Exactly so. The question here is whether the judge is going to be switched on enough to see through the cloak of deceit and come to a considered judgement on this. Don Dan
Surely Lord Haw Haw is not that stupid to be fooled by the learned QC and he must be fully aware of Wallace's recent statements about this share issue that is not underwritten, needs 75% up take to succeed or the lights will go out. This waffle from the QC is all ballocks. It's wishful thinking on his part. To me the only way you would take the QC,s story is if he could produce written guarantees that all this recovery The Rangers are to see is real and not just fanciful dreams. Ifs, buts and maybes. As someone said earlier somebody is telling big porkies. Would AIM not be interested in these conflicting statements? doctor jambo
If QC for ahmad does not stand in court and produce the press statements from board members warning of pending insolvency and creditor bumping and "partial loan repayment" then he has not done his job frankly At the very least it would show Wallace as a liar
Skivingatwork
I suppose the difference this time is that TRIFC have made statements to the AIM around their need for immediate funding. Mark_Mywords
D'oh! It's just dawned on me that this leak of 'bad' news about naming rights issue, Rangers Retal etc is DESIGNED to stop the normal fan shareholder putting his or her hand in their pocket. Consequently the spiv shareholders will oversubscribe and increase their % shareholding. Then at the next AGM they'll have carte blanche to issue as many hundred million shares as they want. Good point... IIRC, if they own 75%, they can pass anything they want at the AGM.
