itsnomarooned
Scott Burns : Wylde and Celik, combined, will save the club ?48k-a-month (basic wages). Just another 950k to go! That's quite astonishing! Therein lies the whole problem - f@nnies.
Munch
Alison Robbie has just tweeted Gregg Wylde heading south tomorrow to speak to 3 clubs, I understand Southampton & Blackpool are 2 of them #Rangers Also she has tweeted Wylde hasn't been playing for #Rangers as 2 more appearances would've meant his weekly wage rising from ?4k to ?5k per week So what chance will Lafferty still be here by the end of the day if he is 2 matches away from triggering a ?900k payment from Rangers to Burnley. they might keep him on till the window opens and not play him in the hope they might get a small fee for him. The trouble is bankrupt stock never gets a high price
Jeremy beagle
It's never nice to see people losing their jobs......however on this occasion I will be grabbing a beer and celebrating each redundancy. Vile club who deserve every bit of bad news coming to them. This could be a very pleasing day....

If that is accurate and the bit about saving ?48000 a month with Wyldde and Celik leaving is accurate that means Celik was on ?8000 p/w. No wonder they're in so much trouble. jamboinglasgow
Keith Downie ? @STVkeith STV understands Rangers players are currently going in to see the administrators one by one to learn their fate. Anyone else have a mental image of it being like x-factor. "Lee, you've played well for the club and given it all, but we have to make decisions and feel that you are just not worth the wage to keep. Sorry but we have to let you go." Followed by (as someone else has said) Ally McCoist in his best Dermot O'Leary impression.

PortyJambo
Does show the player "negotiations" of the last couple of weeks to be a sham, and basically just a delaying tactic. There was no way that players were going to accept 50/75% wage reductions, especially when most of them know they could get a signing-on fee and comparable money elsewhere. The Gasman
Is there any distinction between a player who has lost their job as part of the administration process i.e taken redundancy, and a player who has not taken redundancy and has cancelled their contract by mutual consent e.g Wylde, when it comes to the rules re signing for a team outwith the transfer window? I think he'll be treated the same as the others who are/will be made redundant. I think he'll have signed a Compromise Agreement (in this case waiving his right to March salary and severance pay) but will still legally have been made redundant. Jambof3tornado
I wonder if they are sitting outside shifting up and down the line trying to be last in the queue,in the hope that if enough people beforehand leave like Wylde and Celik, they wont have to. Johanes de Silentio
I'm not IN THE KNOW, but I've heard that the Administrators haven't been able to reach agreement with any of the Rangers players, and that Wylde and Cellik are the first of many being released immediately with no compensation.
