Sorry we missed you. Grim Saturday night viewing but not unexpected from a Ken Loach flick. 7/10.

Really want to watch this, is it on Netflix as I couldn’t find it anywhere

I was a bit disappointed.,Thought it was an interesting idea poorly done. Could have really had fun with what The Beatles WOULD have been if not The Beatles. The Lennon bit was the best part of it

I liked it. Yours is an interesting concept though.

The Lennon bit was really good.

Bit like yourself I wasn’t that arsed about seeing it but me Mrs dragged me. Seen worse. Blinded by the light was better.

The invisible man 7/10

An incredible amount of ridiculous plot holes aside, this was a decent movie. Some great tense scenes.
The restaurant scene was fantastic

Caught a wee film on BBC I player. Good Vibrations. About a record store owner in Belfast who broke the Undertones if you like a music related film

chronologically according to setting year i think it should be. i got this from an article, the only one i disagree with (but would need to watch again to confirm) i'm sure the end credit scene for the incredible hulk suggests that it is before the first ironman. General Ross says to Stark nice suit when he walks into a bar, i think that is the lead into him becoming ironman

  • Captain America: The First Avenger (takes place during WWII)
  • Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995)
  • Iron Man (takes place in 2010)
  • Iron Man 2 (takes place after Iron Man)
  • The Incredible Hulk (time unspecified, pre-Avengers)
  • Thor (takes place six months before Avengers)
  • The Avengers (takes place in 2012)
  • Iron Man 3 (takes place six months after The Avengers)
  • Thor: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)
  • Captain America: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy (sometime in 2014)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians)
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron (takes place in 2015)
  • Ant-Man (takes place in 2015)
  • Captain America: Civil War (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War)
  • Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-Civil War, pre-Infinity War)
  • Doctor Strange (takes place in 2016)
  • Black Panther (takes place in 2017)
  • Thor: Ragnarok (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War)
  • Avengers: Infinity War (takes place in 2017)
  • Ant-Man and The Wasp (ambiguous, but fits nicely between IW and Endgame)
  • Avengers: Endgame (starts in 2017, finishes in 2022)
  • Spider-Man: Far From Home (post-Endgame)

I had never watched any of these films as I didn't fancy them, started watching the other night on the back of this post and must say I'm glad I have. Iron Man 2 tonight, never realised they had a comedy side to them which appeals to me. 👍

Getting there, Thor Ragnarok tonight.

I am, like I said it's the humour that I enjoy. Thor and Iron Man films especially.

Only 4 to go and I've seen the one partially set in Edinburgh so nearly done.

Not sure what me and the Mrs will do to fill the evenings after this. 🧐

My son loves them and I think I have seen all of them though not in order. I agree Re the humour. Some great one liners.

Good luck in finding something to keep you entertained as the nights draw in....

Sorry forgot a previous suggestion to note the source. Apologies. We watched it on DVD through Cinema Paradiso

It's for rent on Amazon but I see it's screening at the Odeon Wester Hailes on 21 July

Recently watched movies;

Gosford Park.  Meh.  A poor imitation of Downton Abbey. Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith couldn't save it.

Lucy in the Sky.  Meh, despite an OK performance by Natalie Portman.

365 days. Meh.  Went nowhere, and the soft porn scenes shocked my innocent wife.

Zodiac.  Much too long and much too convoluted. So-so performance by Robert Downey Jr.

El Camino on Netflix.

I watched Breaking Bad about 5 years ago and couldn't really remember what had happened. You do need some knowledge of Breaking Bad or it's a pointless movie.

More of an extra episode rather than a stand alone movie.

An enjoyable football theme film on BBC2 Wed 9pm (1/7/20)

Marvellous.

Toby Jones plays real life Neil Baldwin a limited intelligence Stoke City fan, who Lou Macari takes on as a Kitman. And he actually takes part briefly in Gordon Cowan's testimonial, you'll cry with laughter.

Funny and touching film.

He is far from limited intelligence. Actually search for him talking about football, he's usually spot on.

It was a terrible description, I gave him. I just couldn't think of the correct wording.

I haven't looked him up, but I will now, that you have said it.

Depp and Pacino are great in this classic crime thriller about an undercover FBI agent who infiltrates the mob.
