Vansen
Dark Encounter (2019) This sci fi drama built around the loss of a child was unexpectedly stunning. It appears to be an alien abduction film for the first hour with real tension until it moves into another gear entirely for the final act. I dont think I have seen anything quite like this before and I will be watching it again. 9/
rudi must stay
The Darkest Hour Gary Oldman impressed, but I found the film a slog at times and thought the pacing and editing was strange, turned into an inappropriate and unfunny comedy at times. But when it hits form, very very good 7/10 Edited May 10, 2020 by rudi must stay

Samuel Camazzola
Extraction. It's pretty new to Netflix and features Chris Hemsworth as a mercenary who is contracted to rescue the son of an Indian crime lord who has been kidnapped and taken to Bangladesh. Although there is no real depth to the plot, there is plenty action, explosions, gun and knife fights and it's shot pretty well. 6.5/

Ray Gin
Public Enemies. 6/10 On paper this film should be gold - a gangster thriller about notorious bank robber John Dillinger, featuring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Stephen Graham and Marion Cotillard, directed by Michael Mann. John Findlay
Watched Battle of the River Plate, the other day on BBC2. Based on the story of the British Warships, Ajax and Exeter, along with the New Zealand Warship Achilles encounter with the German pocket Battleship Graf Spee in the South Atlantic in the early months(December 1939) of WWII. Although made in 1956, it's made in colour and the battle scene is done very well. I also like the fact that the captain of the Graf Spee was portrayed as a good man and a good sailor. 8/10 for me. The Mighty Thor
Watching the 22 film Marvel Universe in order from the start. Made it up to today's final couple of films Avengers Infinity War then Endgame. They're all decent stand alone films but watching them in order makes such a difference in terms of plot and character development. It's taken weeks mind you 👍

General Ross says to Stark nice suit when he walks into a bar, i think that is the lead into him becoming ironman Captain America: The First Avenger (takes place during WWII) Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995) Iron Man (takes place in 2010) Iron Man 2 (takes place after Iron Man) The Incredible Hulk (time unspecified, pre-Avengers) Thor (takes place six months before Avengers) The Avengers (takes place in 2012) Iron Man 3 (takes place six months after The Avengers) Thor: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron) Captain America: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron) Guardians of the Galaxy (sometime in 2014) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians) Avengers: Age of Ultron (takes place in 2015) Ant-Man (takes place in 2015) Captain America: Civil War (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War) Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-Civil War, pre-Infinity War) Doctor Strange (takes place in 2016) Black Panther (takes place in 2017) Thor: Ragnarok (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War) Avengers: Infinity War (takes place in 2017) Ant-Man and The Wasp (ambiguous, but fits nicely between IW and Endgame) Avengers: Endgame (starts in 2017, finishes in 2022) Spider-Man: Far From Home (post-Endgame)
