The Doctor Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far Far Away.... It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy... The silly tart's gone and got herself captured already though and it's up to our bold heroes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and crazy old wizard 'Ben' Obi Wan Kenobi to save her. They're up against The Emperor and his hench men Grand Moff Tarkin and Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. In the mix are two friendly droids, these could be the droids you're looking for, C3PO, a talented, if affected, healer with the power to prevent the evil Galactic Empire from their nightly kills. R2D2 a witty spy who can investigate a player and feed information back to the brave rebels. Boba Fett, a bounty hunter with three kills to make during the course of the game, he's only out for himself and if he's still standing at the end he'll win. (Nb. He could be a she, I am using he in a generic sense, rather than a specific one, although Fett is male, he could just as well be played by a female) The game will work like this, during the day you post and vote for the players you suspect to be baddies, thus: vote The Doctor you can unvote thus: unvote The Doctor should you change your mind. A majority of votes for a player causes that player to be sent to the Spice Mines of Kessel from which they will never return. At the end of the period of day, if no player has more than required number of votes (half the players left +1) then the player with the highest number of votes gets the chop. In the event of a tie (fighter) I'll make something up.... At night the baddies will execute someone, possibly with the Death Star, that may be overkill, it may just be that floaty torture device that Leia gets threatened with. Threepio can nominate a player to receive his special attention, thus saving him. Artoo can investigate a player, the result of which will be passed the goodies. The Emperor will show up as a civilian. Fett, should he choose to do so, can throw someone into the pit of Sarlacc, In his belly, you will find a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested over a thousand years. (This is ironic, Fett is unware of the fate that will await him...) But only three times through the course of the game. Ben, Luke and Han know each other and can talk off thread. The Emperor, Tarkin and Vader can do likewise. No other communication off thread, you speak to me only. Non posters will receive one warning and then will be frozen in carbonite, where they should be well protected. Low posters will be warned and could lose their voting rights, if they remain low they'll get fed to the Rancor, just as soon as I can get access to Jabba's palace. I'll send out roles in the next few minutes. If you don't get a PM you are but a Galactic Civilian, trying to make your way in the outer rim. Stand by, post and enjoy. Today will run until Friday at 9pm, to give people a chance to get into it. After that days will be shorter. Boy, it's lucky you have these compartments. On a rugby trip in Toronto in a big "Multiplex". I fell asleep during it and woke up as the credits were rolling. Family Guy didnt just rely on jokes from the film. In goes of on tangents all over the place. I can grasp the basics of characters etc as its one of the most famous series of films ever made.
