I do think we would be in a better place if he was replaced. Some good signings, some not so good signings. Fairly average record imo. Two huge gaps in the recruitment costing us dearly though. Not signing a centre back last January when it was clear to everyone that we needed to replace Halkett cost us third. Pretty clear to most fans that we are better this season when playing with four at the back. We don’t have a right back, only a right wing-back, yet we sign another right wing back in January and not a right back. Some will blame the managers in both cases but I know for a fact Neilson wanted a centre-back and I’d find it hard to believe that Naismith didn’t want a real right back.
