Benzema to Saudi Arabia. £3 million a year wage.

Messi maybe too. Saudi Government allocating the players to the clubs.

Mount to Man Utd. Good signing for them, a bit of an upgrade on McTominay but he would be good for Newcastle. Both winners

That would taint him for the Scotland job when Clarke leaves at some point.

Nah not really imo.   Only if he fails.  Clarke will be around for years also.

More interested in this than the Benzema nonsense to be honest. Good lad Denholm (albeit must be about 50 now) and might wander along to see Spartans once or twice next season.

Mount deal not confirmed yet, personal terms agreed but Man U and Chelsea seemingly miles apart on a fee.

Doubt McTominay will end up at St James park now Newcastle have (ahead of schedule) made the Champions League, always thought he'd be brought in as a player to get newcastle to the top 4, not a player for when they are in the top 4

2 Million a week, plus whatever "luxuries" he wants.

15 Lamborghinis, a 120 Inch TV, and a suitcase full of blow it is then.

Saudi Arabia spending crazy money to get big players who are at the twilight of their career so they can use them as part of their campaign to get the 2030 World Cup so the country can sportswash its image. Its sad, and players will accept it because its large money (just like the golfers did with LIV,) and I know its easy for me to say as I am not getting crazy money chucked at me, but wish at least one who should some principle and say I am already rich enough, I dont need blood money.

They'll basically affect the US league, taking everyone including Messi who might have gone there.

You’d think they would earn enough at clubs like Madrid ect to set them up for life in the first place

A piece on one of the sites this morning about how Benzema's new manager at Al-Ittihad is Nuno Espirito Santo. Apparently he's taken Cathro with him again, so he'll be telling Benzema what to do next season.

He's doing alright for himself these days, I wonder if he ever even thinks about us.

He's his guardian angel. Fair play to them both, it seems to work.

Jude Bellingham off to Real Madrid for 103 Million Euros (plus 34 million in add ons.)  Thats mental but a great signing for Real Madrid.

Wish the Saudis would wash some of their money in my direction. It's just spare change for them as they buy away

It’s kinda why I’m hoping we jump into bed with Newcastle. If we can become a trusted partner or whatever…it would be 0.00000001% of their money to give us a slice 🤣

£35M. Seems a bargain, especially because Brighton are tough negotiators.

Yeah for sure, it could rise to £45m over time but even that's a bargain, Liverpool ruled themselves out for Caicedo though saying he's over priced apparently.

i read something earlier that the highest salary a footballer has recieved in europe was 75M per year and that was messi while still at barcelona. now you have kante on 100M, benzema 200M+ same for ronaldo

IIRC it was fabrizio romano who reported that it was due to his buy out clause reducing and that is why he can go for 35M which looks like it will be the bargain of the transfer window (or at least one of them)

You may have seen that the PIF (owners of Newcastle) bought the 4 largest teams in Saudi earlier in the week so they’re effectively paying for all of these salaries, as well as Newcastle’s ascension and not to include the whole LIV golf saga…

It’s an astounding amount of money.
