The potential levels of humiliation give some reason to be cautious.

I don't disagree. "Having a go" and finding ourselves 3 down after half-an-hour will make for a very long afternoon.

Nah, season starts a week tomorrow.  Thursday is irrelevant other than a few quid, certainly pretty meaningless in a competitive sense and for the fans.

Let’s not Chuck the towel in just yet. We could still qualify with 2 games left.

Geoff Kilpatrick

Gordon - Smith, Sibbick, Kingsley, Cochrane - Kiomourtzoglou, Devlin, Snodgrass - Ginnelly, Humphrys, McKay

I'll stay with the 0-3

We’ve no option but to go for it. Our defence is too shaky to defend deep. Look how long it took rangers and fiorentina to break us down.

Disagree. Worth half a mil and if we win and Fiorentina don’t then we take it to the last game which is pretty decent all things considered.

Thought a space might have been found on the bench for Pollock

Got to keep his head grounded after his new 3 year deal

Pollock sitting in the stand while two keepers are on the bench 🤷‍♂️

Or playing against Gala for the B team (or injured)

What has Barrie McKay done to keep his place. Want message does that send out to the rest of the squad. He’s been absolutely shite recently.

Yeah he has but probably in the back of his mind is his potential to create us a goal. I agree though I would have benched him today.

More in hope that he produces something me thinks

At the danger of sounding like a boo boy, I absolutely shite it every time I see that Sibbick is in defence. He is honking.

He 100% is honking but deserves a chance again as Cochrane and Neilson have been abysmal at CH and well there is no one else.

Haring could have played but he’s out.

Very much this. He's as good as a goal start for Celtic today.

Why do we put 2 keepers on the bench? Surely one of the youngsters would be better taking their place.

Perhaps there's one you'd bring on if an early substitution was needed.

And one you'd bring on later in the game to give him some game time?

Not sure how much longer we waste a place on a passenger when it’s very much a time for everyone to stand up and be counted. Been even worse since he missed that sitter against killie.

Shite state of affairs we're in regarding CH and it should have been rectified in the window. But I'll save it for another thread.

Suppose that is the consequence of having a B team. The idea is to get them game time rather than sitting on the bench.

That team is the best we have right now, in the right formation. Dropping Shankland is 100% the right decision against the OF at home.

Whatever happens I have no issue with the selection or assumed formation. Up to the players to do much much better.

Usual chopping and changing. 4 at the back with Sibbick at RCB?

Just signed a 3 year deal, laddie will be buzzing and on a high no doubt. Makes sense from a motivational stand point that he should have been included.

Two goalies on bench, another masterstroke by Robbie

There were two keepers on the bench last game as well. It’s embarrassing tbh. What’s the point in having youth Lakers around if they can’t even make the bench when we are struggling for bodies.

Are we up to 9 subs now out of interest?

We are - in fact they're going to increase the number allowed on the bench to 15 for the World Cup.

Was watching some old games on ITV4 from the early 80s - 1 sub!

This

It proves no matter how crap you are playing your place is not in danger

Plus he doesn't turn up in big games.

Must be a reason for it surely 🤷‍♀️

Cos Robbie's thick.

Fingers crossed there is a game plan and the players understand what it is.

Fingers crossed there is a plan B if it all goes belly up early in the game again.
