At home after two outstanding victories and two weeks rest, can't wait for this one.

Reckon we can do it and put pressure on second?

2 massive Tynecastle games that week, Rangers then Fiorentina.

Huns will arrive with the opportunity to go top given Celtic's loss earlier.

Very good that the vast majority of the squad have nearly 2 weeks to recuperate before the start of a manic October.

If we can get our best team on the park we have nothing to lose or fear. A 2 goal victory would move us ahead of them in the league so plenty to play for in two weeks time for sure. HHGH

Oh come on.

The early match thread or the possibility of a victory? Rangers have been shot and Dundee United had a chance to equalise yesterday.

🤣 earliest match thread ever, tart! 🤣

Chance to go second 👍

Only two goals of a difference would do it!

'Only' two goals. It feels like we can dream again, though.

I expect us to be kicked up and down the park tbh. Resulting in more injuries before we even think about Fiorentina. Also to weaken our chances in the league.  Assisted by our Officials.

Spoiler

Captain Sausage

Hopefully have Halkett back for this one and Kingsley, Gordon and Cochrane ideally suffered little niggles so will be available.

Means it’s just Rowles, Beni and Boyce out.

Gordon

Smith Halkett Kingsley Cochrane

Devlin Kio

Forrest Grant McKay

Shankland

1-1

Why is there no tickets on sale for this?

There will barely be any available. Almost all walk up tickets are available in K and L which won’t be open to home fans for this one. Think there will be 100-200 available mostly in Roseburn H and then the unsold hospitality seats released a few days before kickoff. Ticket exchange will be busy but don’t think it will be open till a couple of days before unfortunately.

If we get 3rd again we should cut Celtic and Rangers allocation to 1 section. Means we can sell another few hundred season tickets in the Roseburn.

One or two? Season ticket holders in the rest.

Any idea how much longer Rowles has to go?

As a side note - what has happened to Souttar since joining Rangers? Has he become a glorified bench warmer or is he injured?

I heard he’s targeting a pre- Halloween comeback. But still 4-5 weeks away.

Certainly a possibility. I’ll miss this one unfortunately.  😟

Rangers will be up for this. Neither team has been at their best so far this season.

Rangers have a chance to go top? Ideally we have some more players back

It's nice to go in to a game v OF with a bit of form.  We always have a great chance in these games at Tynecastle.  My only slight concern is that they have been a bit of a bogey team for us recently.

🤔Or Hearts can pick up 3 points and get closer given Celtics loss earlier🙄

Sounds like we've shat it and gave them more than 1 section meaning there will be hardly any public sale tickets for the home end. Disappointing if we have they should get 1 section only.

That Rangers team don't look as good as last season imo, they have lost key players in Bassey and Aribo and I don't think they have replaced them with similar quality, This will be an interesting game and will tell us where we are In terms of the quality of our team/squad.

I really fancy us to take something tbh, the confidence from our last two games should be giving the players a big lift, but obviously the international break has somewhat killed our momentum a little, while it wont be easy i think we can take the win, going for 1-0 hearts, first goal for Humphrys.

Lord Beni of Gorgie

They still look vulnerable, the international break not affecting them too much though with players away so they may have regrouped. An opportunity for us to show we can compete with them again, however going to be a difficult task as it always is, but not an impossible one by any means

That team!

The bench will be strong too, which is often a big difference maker against the OF (see cup final).

Not going to predict a win or even a draw, but I give us a good chance in this game.  I'd maybe tweak one wee thing and make it more of a 433 than a 4231.  Be brave, play two high and wide to expose their fullbacks.  But 3 in mid to keep us tight.

I'd imagine this will be a game where the ticket exchange really works for people.

Tickets for Motherwell and Livingston games have just been put on sale. Rangers and Celtic games are both before them and no tickets are available yet.

Bit of a mixed bag in terms of recent home results against Rangers.

Last 5 home games read;

1-1

2-1

1-0

0-2

1-3

So, 2 wins each and a draw, albeit the 2 defeats were the most recent games at Tynecastle.

I may be wrong, but since GVB has come in, we are yet to take anything from games v Rangers (seemed to regularly do so when it was SG in charge).

We need a big performance from all concerned. Get that and we have every chance of getting a result. It will be nice to keep this winning roll we are on, in terms of home league games (3 out of 3 so far).

Where have you heard that?  Not been in the media and certainly different to what club have been saying. Think season ticket sales in Roseburn make it virtually impossible to happen in any case.

Already been confirmed they get the same allocation as last year.

This is a very winnable tie in my opinion but we need to get in their face from the off!

We have a decent record at home with them. It will be a close one but think we will just shade it

If away zero chance
