I wish these letters would cut the soft soap and just say "Why can't you get it through your thick head that you aren't suitable for office, you bloviating buffoon? Just feck off!"

A quarter of govt jobs now vacant and if it couldn't get more comical, I'm reading Braverman is announcing she's running for leader.

Some HoC business cancelled for tomorrow -  there's no govt resources for some areas.

Because when Theresa May came to the table with a centrist proposal that reflect the narrowness of the underlying victory for Brexit both extremes rounded on here and ripped her to shreds...

Spot on. We could have actually have come out of brexit without having our arses handed on a plate. It would have taken some humility. Sadly UKG and the SNP MPs were t interested in national interest.

Maybe she should have done better. And why should the opposition make it easy for the government?

🤣Aye, it's the SNP's fault. All 32 areas of Scotland voted to remain in the EU, you know, the membership that we could only keep, if we voted to stay in the UK. So why should they not block it at every juncture. And England voted leave, so why should the Tory not block something that wasn't what they voted for.

Scottish independence, is Scottish independence. Ñot devolution, not federalism, independence. And it will take another referendum to join the EU, post independence.

Johnson has a mandate from the UK electorate to govern the UK with 42 % of the vote. The SNP doesn't have a mandate for an independence referendum with 45% of the Scottish electorate.  And 48% of the vote at the Holyrood election.

So what are these acheivements Mr Glover. Brexit is a mess, there are no great trade deals to compensate, he blew huge amounts of taxpayers money on a so called pandemic, much never put out to tender for junk that came from China (PPE etc) wasted Track and Trace that never worked, a rushed vaccine that is all but useless again spending a fortune of our money to make big Pharma ever richer. No he is a failure. He is in fact pathetically weak, rolling over to the likes of Whitty and Vallance the two panickers in chief and would have had us in lockdown again over Christmas had he not been talked out of it. He cannot even stand up to a bunch of leftie lawyers over the failed Rwanda flights....and don't get me started on the green Illusion.

Nicked from another platform but it sums up Johnson’s tenure

The opposition is not offering us much either.
INDEPENDENT

Could Sir Keir Starmer be setting Britain’s Brexit policy soon? Boris Johnson is clinging on to power by his fingernails – vowing to fight on despite being told cabinet ministers the game is up. Starmer has called for a general election. But it looks much more likely we’ll get a Tory leadership contest, with candidates vying to be as hard as humanly possible on the protocol. Still, Sir Keir is finally happy to talk about Brexit and the protocol. Sort of. He ruled out any return to the single market. He ruled out a return to a customs union. He ruled out freedom of movement. But he did say he would do a comprehensive veterinary deal with the EU to magically fix the protocol and remove “most” checks. He also vowed to ease visa requirements for seasonal workers and help touring musicians. Not everyone is impressed. London mayor Sadiq Khan clashed with his party’s leader, saying: “Our future is more prosperous ... being members of the single market.” But it looks like Britain’s post-Boris future is doomed to stay unprosperous, regardless of who succeeds this particular PM.

Doubt he can, cross party committee meetings are already having to be cancelled because there isn't any tory ministers in post to sit on the committee.

We are rapidly reaching a constitutional crisis.

By voting for May's deal SNP MPs could have helped secure a softer brexit which wouldn't have ****ed us like BloJo's oven ready deal. Being a responsible opposition isn't just about opposing everything. But the SNP played to the lowest common denominator to further their agenda rather do what is in the national interest.

It takes an element of common decency to be responsible and put national interest first though.  By not voting for May's deal the SNP have helped bugger the economy even more and make more families hungry probably for generations to come.

I'm sure that makes you happy though.

Which nation? Plenty of Scottish kids and families are suffering because of the decision not to support May's deal. The SNP aren't responsible for Brexit but they could have helped secure better terms than we got. Instead May got kicked out and replaced by the fascist arseholes entertaining us today.

If that was the plan all along shame on them.

He'll still be PM until September/October but he'll have next to no power, the 1922 committee will see to that.

I wonder who'll now fill all of those vacant ministerial roles & does BoJo get to appoint them.
