Food was beautiful and big pat on the back to the staff really nice and friendly. Breakfast i really enjoyed got the full english really enjoyed it. What got me was though sitting on the sofa at the bar around 11 oclock last night thinking how far we have come its fecking unbelievable. The place is beautiful. The room as well we had 205 was beautuful nice view onto the plaza. If you can afford a night there give it a go its something i will never forget. Its something our neighbours can only dream of. I know it’s a wee bit of a novelty for us hearts fans and, with the exception of birthday/anniversary treats etc, we’re unlikely to be having regular stopovers in the hotel. I wonder how many non hearts related people have stayed in the *hotel so far. It’s not quite touristy season yet (although there are a fair few early explorers up this way), but I’m sure it will continue to grow. The restaurant is likely to be a far more repetitive experience and, I’m planning on booking Christmas dinner there for me the mrs and the grand skidz……I’ve never eaten out on Christmas Day but I though what the hell, we’ve got the panto Christmas Eve. * anyone know any hotel staff who could be like errr…….a spy for jkb 🕵️

Dazo
5 hours ago, Taffin said: We should try and get a means for guests to be able to see into the stadium imo. Not from the rooms, but some window or bar, or viewing area. It's a novelty staying in a football stadium but you could be forgiven for not knowing that once you're passed reception (which is also an impressive feat). It will attract people for the novelty factor and not being able to see the pitch etc is probably a bit disappointing. My girlfriend really wanted to see it when we stayed surprisingly. 4 hours ago, Worthing Jambo said: I thought the same. There must be an entrance at Skyline level (used for corp) that could be taped off, just to give a view? 🤷♂️ 4 hours ago, Nobreath said: I thought the same as well. Yes, but as you'll know there's nobody on the hotel reception so it felt a bit OTT to ring down to the main reception. Also sort of missing the point. It's not someone's job to be showing people around ad hoc and they'll have other things to be doing (their jobs most likely), but an area you could buy a drink with a view of the stadium interior is a likely money spinner rather than money drainer. She seems fine with staying at Hotel for match night, but for other nights her response was just sending me a lot of City Center hotels. I'm countering with it seems like a bus runs straight from Tynecastle downtown, but it's a losing fight. I imagine the Hotel will make the lion share of its business from Hearts related weekends and holiday spillover.

Wasn’t an issue for me as I’d just spent the best part of 2 and a half hours watching the game. You can however book personal stadium tours at £50ish. A couple disappeared from the hotel lounge only to appear on the tv 5 minutes later at the side of the pitch. There is a route for those that know😉🤭

Rooms really modern and fresh so no complaints there. The breakfast, like others on here was a tad disappointing.
