Always thought he was Celtic. Maybe just the old Abergreen effect. Also laughing at the predictions of Jimmy Cant. That's supposed to be his profession too! Oh dear, oh dear. Zero credibility. The most surprising bit for me was the Times Scottish football correspondent writing the '150-year-old club they call the Jambos'. Surely he should know that the club are known as the Jam Tarts and the fans are known as Jambos.

You gave an honest assessment based on your experience. Only time will tell once things have settled down. 2 hours ago, ehcaley said: You worked in a field? Ever seen four-in-a-bed? Some of these jesters charge way more than we are. Even The Covenanter in Falkland trouser £139 for a room ... albeit trading on their 'Outlander' rep. Anyhoo, hopefully it is a successful venture for years to come.

Was hearing that Murrayfield has been granted it's largest capacity ever for those 3 concerts, over 70,000 each evening. Apparently could have sold another couple of nights if the dates were available.

Vlad Magic
10 hours ago, JimmyCant said: I think it will be better than I first forecast due to 1. Increased room numbers 2. What appears to be higher occupancy and room rate 3. very good advance booking numbers which puts advance holding revenue in the bank before the service has been provided. 4. A very good high end product. But there are high costs to come off the top line in terms of VAT, staff, maintenance, cleaning, laundry, consumables, agent fees. All adds up to at least 50% of turnover. That’s not negative or downbeat, it’s just a simple fact. People do get hacked off with simple facts right enough. You aren’t very good at forecasting then. Maybe leave that off your CV when you apply at Maccy D’s 👍

heartyhub
Fantastic night in the hotel stayed in 221 nice size room and the biggest bed I’ve ever slept in. Wife loved the molten brown toiletries and a decent hairdryer in the room. Plenty PowerPoints and usb ports for charging. Three course dinner and drinks in the sky lounge which never disappoints. Lovely cooked breakfast and finished off with the main stand tour which is very interesting.

That was just after it opened pre covid her friends late husband captained the boat before it became a floating hotel and her friend was given a free night and the next day they all met up and the wife definitely paid around £14 for a gin possibly overpriced themselves and reduced prices but it’s around £250 for a night bit steep imo
