Not getting my hopes up, think we're in for a pumping

This is my expectation. Very rare we do anything other than soil ourselves at Parkhead. A very grim venue for us.

Interesting, looks like 4 at the back. Hopefully that’s not going to be a 4-3-3!  Personally I would have preferred 5 in midfield but at least it’s a change!

Is it a 4231, with Haring and devlin holding, mckay, mceneff and Woodburn the 3 and ginnelly upfront? Or Woodburn up front instead of ginnelly?

I like that line up. No Halliday, but no start for Cochrane is a mystery again 🤷🏻‍♂️

Back 4. Kingsley a better left back than Cochrane I’d say.

but maybe as

Smith Souttar Halkett Kingsley

            Haring

McKay Devlin McEneff GMS

             Gino

With Gino as sole striker and a crowded midfield. Just nit-picking I know.

Defo looks like 4-3-3 or 4-5-1(D)/4-2-3-1(A) to me. Haring and Devlin sitting with McEneff advanced. Woodburn and McKay supplying the width.

I’m thinking their defence can continue to be exposed as it has been recently. The record is a thing of the past I hope.

17 wins out of 18 for Celtic at parkhead

I thought Gino would play with Boyce dropped it makes sense

I take it you’ve forgotten how Robbie changed it to beat them at Tynie when our 3-4-3 was getting completely outplayed and starved of possession?   When teams play 3 in the middle against our 2 we surrender possession.  We won’t see the ball if we play 3-4-3.  Teams have sussed out how to play us, ordinary teams like Motherwell and Aberdeen, Celtic will rag doll us if we play like that just like they did in the cup game.

Thankfully you’re not picking the team but I don’t have much more confidence in Robbie. Hopefully he’s learnt his lesson though.

Ha ha I'm glad I'm not picking the team either.

Celtic look to have changed their shape since that first game of the season so I'm not sure they'd overload the midfield.

Interesting we're going 4 at the back tonight.

Not sure how that will cope with their front 3 and the full backs pushing up.

Anyway, you have your request fir a change in shape so hope it works.

Lots of Celtic fans at my work all said the same thing to me. If we go will long balls in behind, their defense will struggle.

433/4213 I reckon.

I know there's the school of thought that you shouldn't change your gameplan to suit your opponents and instead force them to play to your strengths.

That's all well and good playing at home to smaller teams, but away to Celtic it's perhaps a good idea to try to adapt. We know we need to control the midfield but also run and put them under pressure.

Liking the look of that team.

So do I, but I hate when folk on here like the look of the team that's starting cos it usually doesn't end well.  Then the same people come on here moaning their heads off about it and how we should have played X instead of Y.

At the moment I'm still without Sky Sports on Virgin as they've had a TV outage for most of the day and have only managed to restore some channels so far.

The stats of this game will not look pretty. But it is all about the goals scored. They like to score... let's make sure we aren't one of the teams they do it against.

I'll go for a hard fought 2-2 draw.

Definitely a decent squad. If Beni were healthy I'd want to see us stay in a back 3 but with him out there's every chance of being overrun in the middle of the park.

I think things could get dreary in the 4-2-3-1 but I'd rather start that way and then put in Cochrane for a winger after 75' or something to change the shape.

I like the team for tonight. Hopefully Ginnelly will run them off their feet, we just need to ensure we get our midfield up to support him

I like that team. Not many would have had that on their bingo card.

Certainly not overly defensive.

Come on Hearts

Not sure about this 50/50 sitting on the fence. I just like consistency in a team to play to what your used to

No expectations tonight so we will see

certainly a good team

We’re still clear 3rd no matter what happens.

Free hit. I’ll be happy as long as we have a go and our impressive goal difference doesn’t take a hammering.

Could just as easily be our usual set up with Haring filling in as  the 3rd cnetre back

or after people told us McEneff could play winbg back, maybe he's deputising for Cochrane......

If Haring's playing CH, who's subbing for Beni at CM?

It's possible folk are right and we are going 4-3-3 but I wouldn't write off the usual 3-4-3 quite yet as it could be done (although I am taking the piss with that second one)
