Absolutely. Just saying they can stick their hard feelings up their arse, the worst decision that day went against Hearts. Looking at 5-0 if they go down to 10 that early, even taking into account how bad Hearts were that day.

I thought we played well that day 🤷‍♂️

Good attitude in the first half, fight for everything and scored goals. No surprise we took it easy in the second.

It’s the 2012 game they’ve got a beef about. Still believe they should have had a crack at us at their place due to a tight offside call at the end of the game. Probably WAS onside but they didn’t complain or acknowledge that they’d got off with a blatant red card in the first 5 minutes.

Some strange folk out there.I always used to think football fans were fickle ( I certainly am ) but some Hearts fans really seem to carry a real grudge for years and years

Definitely strange.

Celebrate wins through gritted teeth.

Secretly ( or not so much) hope we get beat so they can be proven right.

Strange way to support a team.

Nah, he should be able to make about 8 changes for this and we’ll win easy.

"He should be able to" ..... of course he should.......but Brora says otherwise.

We are 3rd in the top league fighting for 2nd place away to a non league team who are god knows where in god knows what pyramid league, a team mixed with regular starters/some fringe players should be able to see them off with ease.

Even allowing for Neilson we will breeze through this tie.

Oh he will. Do you think he'll risk another Brora debacle? Because that would've been the first thing to entered his head when the draw was made last night.

First thing that would have entered his head would have been the same as we were all thinking.

-Thank **** it's not Celtic away.

Although, Any game is a potential banana skin, every year is different.

We'll win this game and I'll take charity bets on it.

Certain Folk seem to be willing another shock for one reason or another as opposed to believing it will.

We are a good side.

Once folk acknowledge that, they can stop gushing themselves at the thought of Neilson getting the sack for getting beat of this gang.

Cracking draw.

Correct. We'll have for too much quality for them, but I still believe it'll be a tough game because they'll be well up for it.

As well as the Auchinleck and final appearances omen, as a Panner it’s just dawned on me that the last (only?) time we faced a side that had ko’d Preston Athletic in an earlier round, we won the trophy.

Looking at it dispassionately ( if such a thing really exists ) for a random draw you are always looking for the optimum combination of a home tie against the weakest team.

We didn’t get a home tie but we certainly got one of the weakest teams so an excellent chance to progress.

Should be a good away day. Hopefully they'll give us about 2000 tickets.

Nae danger, they had 1,800 on Saturday v Hamilton. Even if it was “just” 1,500 home fans, they’ll easily sell that twice over for us. Think we’ll get 20% at best (800).

There were 5 balls left and two of them were Celtic and Hearts

HTF we avoided them is a miracle especially as Miller would have been very happy with himself.

Thought Willie was a bit unresponsive to Amy Irons banter at the end - maybe he fluffed it.

Joe Savage at the Shareholders Dinner said he was itching for a return to Brora, hopefully they know the correct approach for this tie.

Am slowly coming around to Robbie as a manager, so an emphatic win please to continue that process.

4,000 Capacity, 500 seated

The ground capacity is 4,000 but I believe that Auckinleck Talbot are limited to a maximum home gate of 3,100, to do with the layout of the ground apparently. They could fill the ground themselves but I think they will give us some tickets, although it may only be around 1,000 max.

Are our players ever ‘up for it’ nowadays?

They certainly were not last season  - no excuse for it now though. They must know that they are going to a place were sustained physical effort will be required. No excuses this season for anything other than a good win.

About 42 minutes in they talk about it, I read him saying it in the press after the season ended.

Confident we will win without too much bother, but it's the final straw for Robbie if we do fail. Also sure he knows this and will be well prepared, but it comes back to previous threads about plan B. If things start to go wrong he needs to step up and make the right changes.

Who will we get in the next round? I full expected to get Celtic the more the draw went on so no doubt it will be them next time. Millar must have burnt hands the number of times he dropped it until Aberdeen were safe.

For this one reason I don't understand why they don't issue a number to every team and let a lottery style machine make the draw.

People would know their team number and as soon as it's draw they would know there is no chance of giggery pokery.

Could be argued that Rangers was the easiest tie out the bag for Hibs.

Ah that sucks, if they are bringing a big home crowd then that's understandable.

I was hoping they would try and move this to Rugby Park. Beechwood is a horrible place to play football having played there a few times myself. Last time I was there I actually cracked my head open off a brick wall which is about 1 meter away from the touch line. The pitch this time of year will be shocking too.

Why are you slavering about weejies and half Rangers? Auchinleck is 40 miles from Glasgow, which is roughly the same as Edinburgh to Glasgow. Do they teach geography in Edinburgh schools?

Edinburgh geography 101: anywhere West of Newbridge is a weegie town.

Auchinleck will have been waiting for a home tie like this for years. They’re going to look after their own fans first, as it may never come round again for them.
It is an obvious tie for television, as would be the Kelty v St Johnstone tie if Kelty win their replay.
Our best hope of us all seeing the game could turn out to be helping Auchinleck set up a broadcast of their own with a ppv shared equally between them and us.

Yeah, let’s rest Gordon and Boycie.

Give Stewart and Gnando a game.

That should work.

Joking apart this a tough tie and we need to be full strength and “at it”.

Match their desire, deal with the physicality and we win.

Cheers, it's always nice to know what 2 professions are assigned to an entire team when we we face part time opposition.

Recently we've had;

Birkirkarara - fishermen and waiters.

Alloa - bus drivers and posties.

Arbroath - fishermen and farmers.

Brora - crofters and oil rig workers.

Let's hope the miners/posties combination give us an easier game than the others did.

Talbot will make a go of it and give us a game. Great coach who will have them up for it. If it's played at home it will be the event of the year in the town....

It's a really tight ground and a grass pitch (at least when I was there last).
