That game shouldn’t have even started. It was a sheet of ice. Farcical that night.

The only questions are Beni and who plays LCB. Cochrane had a great goal saving tackle v ICT but I'm not sure who's most comfortable there.

I don't think that will be far off.  Central mid does worry me a bit though with our lack of pace so I would expect to see Beni at some point if not starting.

Don't know where all this new found confidence is coming from.

As others have said, they still have some very good players.

Midfield is still my biggest worry.

If we can control that, we'll be in with a great chance.

Here's hoping.  Love beating that lot.🙂

Will this game be on for international subscribers? Last 2 games have been a blank screen.

Having watched them against Midtjylland and everything else that’s going on with them I felt I surge in confidence. We will never have a better time to play them after a demoralising game that lasted two hours and you could see how tired they were, the manager admitted it afterwards.
Whether we can punish them is another thing but the buzz of a decent signing makes me think we can.

Massive opportunity for Bob to lay down a marker in the Premiership with his team and his tactics. In fact he'll not get a better time to play this mob, be adventurous and get in about them.

Celtic are as fragile if not more fragile than they were in last seasons cup final and this new manager looks like he'll take time to find his feet (or get emptied pronto)

So........ i'm going Hearts 0 - Celtic 3

Neilson ball.

There’s no reason to think we can’t 👍.
They are not in a great shape at the moment and if we can get in there faces from the kick off and try to dictate the game hopefully  get us nice home win to start of the league campaign🤞.

Yip that's the team but if Beni does start i think it will be at the expense of Haring. I love the big guy and hope he proves me wrong but i dont see the same Peter Haring that we had pre injury. After some game time at the end of last season and a pre season hopefully he kicks on now and shows us the player we know he can be.

If big Pete can get back to his best a central midfield duo of Beni and Haring with Halliday, Mceneff and young Pollock as options from the bench would be strong imo.

Head says 2-1 Celtic heart says another 4-0 for the famous

Blind optimism says 2-0 to us. Boyce and GMS. Seriously we have a great chance the way Celtic are right now but Robbie has to get the tactics right and have a go.

Wonder if we might revert to 4-2-3-1 for this one or maybe switch between that and 3-4-3. I would be slightly disappointed but we have the players for it now. Problem is Celtic have decent players out wide while our WBs are not especially attack-minded or quick. So with 3-4-3 we could very easily end up playing a back 5 a lot of the time with Forrest and their new winger pushing us back.

4-2-3-1 with this team could be a decent option:

                  Gordon

Smith Souttar Halkett  Kingsley

              Beni    Haring

GMS   Pollock/Walker/McEneff    Ginnelly

                     Boyce

Decent defensive base and decent attacking options.

International caps or back handers for international clearance?

Eh???? Nah, they put no effort in to getting the pitch sorted, rangers should have got in bother. Thought it was playable with a wee bit effort. After the drive through watching loads of pricks in rear wheel drive cars struggling up slight slopes we were glad to get to the ground nice and early only for it to get binned early doors. Never forgiven blobby for that.

Not a done deal yet, biscuit tim mentality still alive and well. BBC an hour ago - The major stumbling block will be whether Celtic can offer a package large enough to attract Hart.

Not sure if you meant that or not but…..well done 😂

6 caps at 26 years of age. I'm guessing it's no worse than that Gogua guy we got rejected for.

I'll say back hander!

Mrs F already getting irritated by me, says I am getting wound up like I am before a Derby.

That won't be the team, will be 3 at the back, Halliday will play I expect.

He has had a go at Jamie who responded so he won't start, McEneff not doing enough in training so cannot see him being involved. So Cochrane and Halliday in for Haring; Walker/McEneff/Pollock is my idea of Neilsons team.

Haring needs to pick up pace quickly or will be gone in my opinion.

I am fully expecting us to do what Hearts teams for years have always done when facing a team who can’t buy a win, and roll over to have our tummies tickled.

If we don’t then I’ll be delighted, but it’s less painful this way.

I really don't like celtic

Working out West the Celtic fans in the office are far from confident, reckon we'll win.

As I'll have to face them all on Monday that undoubtedly means ....... a Celtic win.

I'm thinking we can do it though if Robbie doesn't bottle and overthink it, so much so I haven't even put in for a Monday holiday.

That’s what I’m saying. It was clear even five minutes into the game that the pitch was treacherous. He’s the ref. He should have seen it before KO.

I seen it when I rocked up with a few pints in me. Knew it was short lived…even pished !

I have a good idea for a Griffiths chant for Saturday. Pink Floyd:

Hey! Griffiths! Leave those kids alone!

Preceded by the intro to it, and interlude in between.

Think it would work well.

Thoughts?

Back 3:
Souttar, Halkett, Kingsley

Wing backs:
Smith, Cochrane

Midfield:
Halliday
Walker

Forwards
GMS, Boyce, Gino

Potentially swap Halliday for Harring at 60 mins as he will be on a yellow and very last warning.

Potentially sub Walker for pollock not long after. Fresh legs and energy in the midfield.

edited it because I wasn’t sure if it’s against JKB rules.

Pity there will be no Joe Hart signing by then (or probably ever). Two late pass-backs from Griffiths go between his legs...
