The picture with laddies on roof in crowd itself, zero or few females!

Changed days obviously I can only speak for our fan base but we’ve a great number of ladies in attendance which is good to see.

This needs to come back....not the over 40s version. Full time professionals.

I know it won't but I reckon seeing top league professionals in these kind of tournaments would be an instant viewing hit.

They’re 13 x 9cms ... must have been the size back in the ‘80s

Happy to share you’ll need to share your details.

This is THE Hearts strip which I was brought up with. ❤️ I would love this to be reprised one season.

Yes that’s the one - that was the first team I watched back on 65.

Karma for the assault on a grounded JC a couple of seasons before.

Roy Barry & George Miller lead the teams out for the Scot cup final 1968.

My first final. Cried all the way home!

I recall those games. Large boards covering the already rutted goalmouth, straw on the pitch and braziers above the iciest parts.

Great days.

I used to play on the shale area outside the old Main stand back in the 60s.

Very handy as we lived in Gorgie Road opposite McPherson's Fish Shop and my Nana lived in 10 McLeod St, long since demolished.

Happy days. The players sometimes came out onto the shale for a kickabout.

It's no wonder I bleed maroon.

Wonderful memories.

They played on pitches then that now is deemed unplayable for the smallest reason .the game at dens v Ayr a couple of weeks ago because the pitch was a bit muddy . ridiculous .they now use player safety for postponeing games but can't remember a player ever getting injured on pitches in the 60s and 70s that were much worse the than ones games are called off for today

There were not nearly as many ankle and knee ligament injuries on muddy pitches.

If the ground gives way when you turn awkwardly, less chance of the studs gripping "on the twist" and causing an injury.

Searched in vain for a 1968/69 team photo for a while. Born a few weeks before that season started. Can anyone oblige?

Ps. First league game we played in my lifetime: Hibernian 1 Heart of Midlothian 3.

Here’s the scot cup final team 1968.

Cheers, bud. That's the closest I could find. Below is from the following season. A 5-0 loss at Parkhead in February '69, I believe.

It's definitely the shirt we wore that season and, even in b&w, looks an absolute better.

My first game and we got beat. :sob:

Still got vivid memories of us being in the car on the way(I reckon 7 in a 4 seater), standing in the East terrace crushing beer cans and my dad telling me to watch Dunfermiline lift the cup. I couldn't see what was pointing at. I was 5.

I also remember youths playing on the main stand roof :omg:

Probably just the 1 season as we changed to this strip. I’ll have a search in some old progs for a 68/69 team shoot. 👍🏻

Ron Jensen!

George Fleming was an interesting player. He never looked much of a footballer, with a sort of splay footed jogging style around midfield, so he was never nice to watch. He was always started games though and was one of Jim MacLean's first signings at Dundee United. The rest is history.

In the book "Gritty, Gallant, Glorious" his absence in that pic is mentioned.

Otherwise occupied, in an occupied, seems to be the inference. 🤪
