Petition calling for independent regulator in English football passes 100,000 signatures
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57144141

..found this interesting (apologies if listed elsewhere). I especially liked this line -

"It was a direct threat to the integrity of the game; destroying the concept of sporting merit and open competition."

...the quote is in reference to the 'Super League', however, I couldn't help attributing it to our own league and the uglies/spfl/sfa.

'Integrity', 'sporting merit', 'open competition'.... certainly no 'threat' of any of these in Scotland! Makes you wonder what would have come to pass, should Rangers offer to pay for an independent inquiry into the SPFL last year, was undertaken? Something like this is, perhaps, what's required to make a difference in our top league. The chairmen of spfl clubs certainly aren't going to rock the boat - no point in leaving it to them!

Lampard, Dyche and Howe all being mentioned as possibilities. Hopefully we can give Roy a good send off tomorrow night - he certainly deserves it.

Who do you fancy for the job?

Hodgson would be a good DoF for a young manager to bounce ideas off. He’s worked abroad a lot so might head off for a swan song somewhere.

Feck me the goal should have been ruled out !

Just shows you VAR is not totally reliable 🤣

That would have been criminal to rule that goal out

All the angles here. Looks onside. And was checked by VAR.

Last touch was De Gea and Cavani was offside at that moment

Interesting question. Chatting to a Palace mate this afternoon who wants Dyche. Think I would prefer Lampard if he was given the funds to get in the players he wants. Part of me would also like Howe just to piss off the Celtic support! Agree with you about keeping some experience in a DOF role though it looks like Hodgson and Lewington will be leaving at end of season.

That's not the moment ball was kicked.

See it later on Match of the Day.

Lampard does appear to have been the favourite for a few days.

Lazy of VAR then

Surely picture quality good enough to prove Fernandes didn't touch it. VAR must have said Fernandes did touch it.

I was meaning Harry Kane 😉

Reports are saying he is wanting it resolved before Euros that’s in under a month no way he will be signed by someone eh . This will play out all summer.

As it stands, Leicester realistically have to rely on Liverpool dropping points.  Leicester GD now 2 worse than Liverpool and if Liverpool win their final two games, that GD will be at least 4 in Liverpool's favour, possibly more, meaning Leicester would need to beat Spurs by at least 4 goals.

Having said that, I wouldn't put money on Liverpool winning both games, unless they start with Allison up front.

I was hoping someone would knock Rudiger out. Can’t stand him.

Not sure why he has to get himself involved - seems to like a bit of aggro

I mainly can’t stand him as he’s fond of feigning injury and trying to get players in the book.

Leicester are spursing it again and I'm sure Spurs will love to be the team that makes them miss out on the CL

The cavani goal was onside only because fernandes didn't touch the ball, albeit very close.    I'm against that kind of rule, it's almost like they know VAR will allow it.   Shouldn't be allowed.   They should disallow for anyone that is that close to touching the ball by attempting to kick it.
