Tough job with all the intensity to keep going. He's done very well for them.

And stayed long enough to rule out Steven Gerrard.

Gutting that. As greeting faced as he's become, some of the football his Liverpool teams have played has been exhilarating.

Yeah he has built an enjoyable Liverpool team and has been a good figure (even if he can be a bad loser at times) in the Premier league.

I also believe him when he says he has run out of energy, this summer he will have been at Liverpool for almost 9 years. With how intense he is that would drain you. Would imagine he will take time out then will walk into any job he wants.

This normally doesn't bode well for the performance of the team over the remainder of the season either.

Would tie in with his comments about a lack of energy. Basically a part time job.

Yeah, thought they would have tried to keep it under wraps, given their current league position

Given what he’s said about energy, unless hes told a bare faced lie there, he’ll not be walking into the Bayern job. It’ll be the Germany job after Euros, DFB have wanted him a long long time. Could see Nagelsman back at Bayern.

Xavi Alonso doing an amazing job at Leverkusen.

Must be one of the favourites for the job.

Southgate to leave England after the Euros.

Klopp to take over England and lead them into the next world cup.

A bottle of lucozade and a sh*t load of euro's will soon boost his energy levels!

Got to be a stick-on for the national job with the Euros coming. Or at least an assistant position.

Can see him becoming the manager of the national team after the Euros this year.

If I was Liverpool, I would do my best to get Howe from Newcastle. I think they would fit each other rather well.

Huge news that, surely getting the Germany job. Don’t think it’s a stretch to say he’s been one of the best managers in the history of English football

It was originally thought to be him, but then Ancelotti renewed his contract (which messed up Brazil's plan as they wanted him for their head coach and thought he was going to leave in the summer.)

I remember when Pep left Barcelona, despite the continued success, he said it was mentally exhausting remaining at the top repeatedly. That's effectively what's happened here to Klopp, he's making the right decision for himself.

I agree, the National Job would be suited to him, but this summer is too soon.

Liverpool will have to loosen the purse strings if they're serious about taking Naisy in the summer.

This sort of thing is the reason these announcements imo never work. Now there’s a race on, to not miss out on the best option.

Apparently he already told the club in November so you would think they are advanced in their search for a replacement

He took over when they hadn't won the league in over 25 years and he would have a couple of extra league titles without Sportswashing FC's blood money.

There’s as much chance of Stevie Clarke taking the England job. Or Stevie Wonder. He will be taking the Germany job. The DFB have wanted him for years

Quite spectacular when we're in the midst of Man City's domestic dominance, and the Real Madrid teams that he pushed the whole way more than once.

100% and now that Ancelotti is committed further to Madrid that is who they will go for in the summer.

Terry Venables is seen as an excellent coach/manager by the English, and all he ever won in England was the FA Cup with Spurs in 1991.

Id imagine it'll take the Mickey Mousers about 20 years to get over this shock news.

Also expect to see a banner at Parkhead in the not to distant.

Yeah, I don’t subscribe to him only being good at a certain size of club. He’s a top manager. Problem I see is there will likely be a major Klopp hangover.

You've all automatically assumed my post was meant in a negative away. It's almost like you think 4 major trophies in 9 years isn't enough to declare someone one of the best managers in the entire history of English football. Interesting.

Those 2 seasons he (Juergen)finished 2nd to city on 90 odd points are just mental. Any other seasons, that’s 2 more Prems he’d have. Performances don’t always get what they deserve

He has done a Bill Shankly, going on his own terms.

If Liverpool get another Bob Paisley, then they will be laughing all the way to the trophy cabinet.

Bizarrely mostly caused by him coming to our country and having the audacity to try and speak our language.

I agree. When things weren’t going well at Arsenal I seem to recall the media ridiculing his accent. I think he’s superb.
