Doyle is hopeless with pens

TBF so is Craig Gordon statistically. Sadly Doyle is rotten at most of the other things as well.

Lots of misery in store for clubs that voted against us, starting tonight.  Then 3 of the 4 semi finalists.  Then all the relegated clubs.

Splendid.

Dundee Utd v Hibs.

Hmmm

TBF as long as St Johnstone beat St Mirren then the vermin have a couple of difficult ties.
At least they never got St Mirren in the semi

Dunno why it quoted you, that's how fights start.👍

Maybe because it didn't happen?

Fights start because keyboard warriors get angry about their favourite, awful manager being criticised and type before they think.

The shame...

My footer says I hate rangers more than Hibs, I still dislike Rangers more than Hibs.

Another poster that was bested In the fine  art of jkb verbal combat, thankfully you  just started over again and pretended to carry on like the original, ironically a bit like rangers did. Well done you.

At least you're not bitter. 😂😂

Not bitter at all mate. Just to prove it, congratulations on that Cup draw, you must be buzzing.

Glad it's not just me who thought that. I'm pretty sure he should've saved it.

I hope so, but it's the easiest tie they could have got, again. They'll beat Dundee Utd comfortably, just got to hope St Johnstone beat St Mirren.

It was in 2012 too, for a brief moment until they moved on to engraving the "E" in Hearts.

Clyde v East Fife has been called off, no official reason though the East Fife account suggested it could be that both teams are wearing the same colour shorts.

Stranraer 4 down at home to Elgin . What a journey for a midweek match

Slightly off the subject but noticed all the English games that are on again tonight.
They don’t have play some football in a season down there and have long midweek journeys

All the games are due to be played  by next Tuesday. So you have to imagine they will replay this next Thursday.

East Fife statement

Club Statement - Postponement of Tonight's Match Against Clyde

We can confirm that tonight’s SPFL League One match against Clyde at Broadwood was postponed.

The club were only made aware of a positive test for COVID-19 within the Clyde camp as the players were entering the field of play before kick-off. We understand the test was taken on Saturday with the result only confirmed around 20 minutes before kick-off.

After discussion between the SPFL and representatives of both clubs, we were informed that the match could go ahead but having consulted with the management and players, the Board of Directors fully back the decision not to proceed with the fixture.

Finally, we would like to pass on our best wishes for a speedy recovery to the player involved.

The club will be making no further comment until we have discussed the matter in detail with the SPFL.

Clyde Statement

The club can confirm that, following a positive Covid-19 test in the squad tonight, a review was conducted by the Joint Response Group, who subsequently confirmed that tonight's Clyde v East Fife match could go ahead.

However, East Fife took the decision not to fulfil the fixture, leaving the referee with no option but to postpone the match.

The club will make further comment when possible.

That’s the thing about the Covid tests and number of games as you are always playing catch up. It is amazing this is the first positives test found since restarting. They might go average points per game if Clyde can’t play this or subsequent fixtures

I wonder if the sfa will punish a club for not putting its employees in danger.

I'm sure the SPFL indicated if 22 games could not be played within initial timescale laid down prior to "Play Offs", the league would be declared as it stood after 18 games. The additional 4 games after split would be "void".

The issue now arising from the above is, Clyde are now in 9th position, slipping down from 8th when 18 games had been played! The positive test is from their squad which lead to East Fife refusing to play the game on safety concerns. Joint Committee advised game could proceed.

Another "fine mess" SPFL have got themselves into. The next few days will be interesting & no doubt, surrounded by controversy.

Hope their e-mail system issues have been resolved since last summer.

Travel on a midweek for a long journey whilst playing every other day could be a factor

Stranraer was at home. It was Elgin who had to take the long journey.

East Fife say it was amicable at the time and they were effectively offered not to play game.

That shouldn't even matter. What's the point of testing players if the SPFL is going to say it's OK for a team with a player who tests positive on the day of a game and has been mixing with his team-mates to still play against another team instead of immediately isolating everyone who might have been in contact? Shambles after shambles after shambles.
