He will need rested at times but maybe a triangle 3 in midfield with Irving at the top and a front 3 - Naismith, Boyce, Donis - but then the greedy guy in me says I’d prefer 4 true attacking players on the pitch in a 4-2-3-1 type formation. On on the bench or in the stand would be my guess. Irving offers something, no doubt about it, but if those two start then there is no place for him in the 11. E6 Inc Posted February 1, 2020 Share Posted February 1, 2020 As far as I can tell Langer has never played a senior game in a league that isnt the 4th tier. Stendel knows him so trust his judgement but to think he should take the place of Irving or Smith is a bit of a leap. I reckon we will see him sporadically initially and if he settles in then he'll sign a longer term contract and next year he will play more.
