30 year olds in general are not getting the jab just now. Unless they have underlying conditions or because of the nature of their work. Yes there will be the odd few who have beaten the system or been dragged off the street or know someone in a vaccination centre or been given an appointment in error but the overwhelming majority of 30 year olds are waiting in line like everyone else. They have not been issued en masse appointments and won’t be until their group comes on stream. Lothian is currently doing the 50-55 age group and will be finished those by mid April as per target. Then it’s down to the supply issues bearing in mind the second vaccs for older age groups are due to start soon.

well they have until mid April for me then ? In fact it should have been earlier as i an  have underlying health condition.

The way you've been mucked about with your jab, James, I'm expecting at least a marching band and a slot on the national evening news when you finally do get it.

LOL  that made me laugh. Well it would def appeal to my " theatrical" side if there was a marching band etc

Today's number is a welcome one, as the UK case numbers had been creeping up over the past week.  Indeed, despite today's significant drop the 7 day rate is slightly higher than it was just over a week ago.

But but but, there was this French government minister who said we'd struggle to administer the second dose because we wouldn't have enough.

Methinks he should concentrate on getting as many first jabs into as many of his own population, instead of worrying about the UK.

Am I reading the 7day/100000 figures for Glasgow correctly.

Seems to be only 10 every day now.

The daily new cases for Glasgow City over the last week have been (latest first): 53, 95, 101, 92, 115, 81, 93.

The 7-day per-capita figure is arrived at by adding all of these together and adjusting them to a per-100,000 rate, using a population figure for Glasgow City of 633,120.

So, 53 + 95 + 101 + 92 + 115 + 81 + 93 = 630.

630 * 100,000 / 633,120 = 99.51, rounded to 100.

All fine. Thanks, James.

Good news. You should

have been further up the batting order, though Red. The sterling work you do with the stats compilation;  surely that makes you a key worker👍

Cheers for that Red.its just that your figures said 10 and I think I was just taking that literally as the 7 day number.

Barcelona hosted a gig last night with 5000 attending. All had to provide same day negative test results. The band was "Love of Lesbian", funnily enough a band I've always wanted to go and see live😎

No problem, WW. The 7-day per-100,000 rate today for Glasgow City was 100. Perhaps the column was being truncated on the device you were looking at it on?

Yes got it now.oOn my phone it reads

North Lanarkshire 13

                                 6

Clkmannan             111

Glasgow.                 10

                                  0

No wonder I get confused.

Not that it takes much🤔

They don't need us to make them look like twats, the French are more than capable of doing that themselves.

Bloomin 'eck. Sorry to hear that. Perhaps you could try expanding the table on your phone and see if it starts showing the figures correctly.

Yes it was,it's been a long year for him during lockdown,he isn't able to go out to his work placement or go out anywhere. He loves his music and watching his dvd's so he is quite content with that.

Good stuff, red. 👍

The Mrs' 60 year old uncle had the covid a couple of months ago and had nothing worse than a loss of taste and smell for a few days. He fitted out a pub in his back garden during his isolation.

Got his jag on Thursday there and was absolutely floored all weekend.

Good enough for the Hibs ****.

I'm working with a few onion selling, mime artist types at the moment (enjoyed the rugby) and they're absolutely sound ****s to a man. They will freely admit that they're a bunch of twats, however.

Yup, one of my mates was floored for a day too, starting about a day after he got the jag. So looking forward to the possibility. :D
