Footballfirst
From Robert Peston 1) the prime minister did say he would rather see "bodies pile high in their thousands" than order a third lockdown (as reported in the Daily Mail); 2) the cabinet secretary Simon Case still believes Cummings may be the "Chatty Rat" who leaked details about November's lockdown (see this morning's Times); 3) the refurbishment of the prime minister's flat was originally to be funded by Tory party donors, even though on Friday the prime minister said he had been paying for it. To be clear, Downing Street has issued a straight denial that the prime minister ranted in that extreme way about how there would never be a third lockdown (which of course there has been). That said, I am told he shouted it in his study just after he agreed to the second lockdown "in a rage". The doors to the Cabinet room and outer office were allegedly open and supposedly a number of people heard. I am bothering to repeat this assertion about what the prime minister said because two eyewitnesses - or perhaps I should say "ear witnesses" - have corroborated the Daily Mail's account to me. Also these sources insist they did not brief the Mail, so that suggests there are three sources.

A couple of posters were questioning whether or not the Daily Mail was correct about what Boris had said. I simply provided another source as confirming the report, without comment. I do however consider such statements as being distasteful in the extreme, a sentiment that you appear to agree with. You also appear to be the one who is transfixed by what the SNP does or doesn't do and seeks to bring them into posts on topics that do not involve them. Footballfirst
The gap between 1st and 2nd doses is currently 10 weeks and 1 day, based on today's numbers. I am expecting to get notification of my own 2nd dose shortly, as my 1st was exactly 9 weeks ago. However, I checked the NHS website and found that I am scheduled for 11 May at the RHS. That will be 11 weeks and 1 day following my first, so it's getting closer to the 12 week target. It's also an indication of the current need for a lot of 2nd doses to match the ramping up of 1st doses during February. I wouldn't mind finding out when I'm scheduled to have mine. Cheers
Victorian
Due to be going for my first al fresco sook on Friday. Not sure whether or not to take it very easy because I reckon the most I've had at any time during the last 7 months was about 5 or 6 on Hogmanay. Other than that maybe 3 or 4 tins during the cup final. Was planning on having a right kick at the baw but I'm wary. I'd quite like to get home afterwards.
