We simply watch what they do, then copy it a week or two later. The entire UK is a mess and the tragic thing is that there really seems to be no end in sight at this moment in time. Don Dan
Masks work alright but it’s down to some of the people not wearing them properly, taking them off when talking to people, yes really, it’s amazing how many do just that. The other big failing is mask hygiene, very few people actually know how to handle a mask when taking the off and putting them on. The classic is wearing it under your chin when in a situation that a mask is not needed. The government(s) mandated masks and face coverings but never offered any advice via an advertising campaign on how to use them etc. It doesn’t surprise me though none of the governments have been on the ball at any stage during this pandemic. She has been suspended by the SNP and Sturgeon has called on her to resign her seat, as has her constituency association. An MP can't normally be forced to resign their seat. However, under the The Recall of MPs Act 2015, if at least one in ten voters in an MP's constituency sign a petition, they can recall their Member of Parliament (MP) if that MP has been found guilty of a wrongdoing that fulfils certain criteria, and a by-election is then called. The criteria are: . A custodial prison sentence of a year or less (longer sentences automatically disqualify MPs without need for a petition due to the Representation of the People Act 1981); . Suspension from the House of at least 10 sitting days or 14 calendar days, following a report by the Committee on Standards; . A conviction for providing false or misleading expenses claims. But what's the point? A seeming majority of folk are happy to take their daily dose of the horror and then cower away, waiting for this magical vaccine, ignoring the fact that the real second wave has nothing to do with infection rates. The second wave will be when the job losses, suicides and loss of liberties start to really hit home for all the pan-bangers and mask-fetishists. So instead of worrying about that, here are Katy Perry's chebs. And an SNL sketch to boot. Perfect. I suppose that some of us don't mind restrictions as long as we feel that it is preventing the virus taking off and causing real carnage. That's our choice. I can guarantee that with a history of animal rights, human rights and environmental activism, I'm not turning into a government lackey just because I'm taking this approach, and I imagine that many people are similar. We're not signing away our freedoms or cowering away. We're just trying to do our bit in keeping this virus in check. All suppression makes a difference. Especially when it's done towards a specific target (scientific intervention like a vaccine). It's really daft to dismiss suppression as making no difference. Hospitals are seeing lots of covid and the community prevalence of coronavirus is no more than 1%. Anywhere. Under suppression measures. Take away suppression and what happens to prevalence? What happens to hospitals and the reasonably successful treatment of covid? People are coming out of hospital not wearing wooden overcoats because the hospitals can treat them. Suppression of virus is the one thing that enables that to continue. You're hopelessly wrong.

At the very least, instead of merely saying that "The data currently indicate that [there is a] level of concern for two areas: Level 4 is being considered for North and South Lanarkshire. There are, however, some signs in the latest data that the situation in those areas may be stabilising.", we're told exactly the data values that are informing those comments.
